Nice Cadillac somebody took care of it before it got stolen and I think it will clean up nicely. Once you give it a detail and fix a few things Drain all the fluids at one point a time this Cadillac was $65,000. Please bring it back to life.

Drain and change all fluids, replace the tires and the instrument cluster. Also replace the sensors flagged by the scanner and that thing will probably go for another 5-10 years.😊

To charge your phone in the Escalade use the socket in the console. Using the one on the dash will blow the fuse.

Randy, IDK about GMs, but I know some Fords will not charge the battery unless the instrument cluster is attached. Maybe because the cluster isn't working, it might not be letting it charge. Might get lucky with the new used cluster. And have you tried a Carfax? Does OK show the services and miles at oil changes and such?

Randy for the love of God Man go get gloves, a mask/respirator, and a long sleeve shirt for the Escalade, and any other cars you get like that. If you touch fentanyl, a spec lands on you or you breathe it in you can OD!! I will miss my AAR shows and more importantly your family and friends will miss you. As far as drug paraphernalia in the vehicle you would be good as you just got it from a salvage auction, especially since you still have the writing from OCPD on the window. Just an fyi I’m not sure you know but maybe you do. The mileage isn’t stored in the cluster. So when you get a new cluster it’s gonna show the mileage from the truck it came out of.

The mileage is stored in the cluster, it will display what ever the cluster says. I have had to swap them out and it’s always with the cluster on those.

I always loved this generation Escalade in Red, Dk. Green and Black. Although, the factory chrome rims on Randy's are the rims that looks best on MWM's Escalade. The factory polished stock wheels of the same style look better on that Red. Just my opinion...😊

21:00 I think this might be AWD or 2WD rather than 4x4. The vertical rectangle where the 4x4 controls go is empty and I saw a Traction Control button to the right of the heater controls where on my Tahoe it is an empty hole. 20:25 25:00 be careful leaving your window open in a heavy rainstorm. Moisture can get in there and corrode the fuses and the receptors. My Flashers failed and there was corrosion on the fuse at the lower right corner. 25:20 The fuse for the cigarette lighter is a lower voltage than the auxiliary 12v receptacles so don't plug any high voltage items into the cigarette lighter receptacle. 25:38 You are right. After you break the ice and start figuring out how the electrical system works, it is actually fun troubleshooting. When something goes wrong, you think it has to be some expensive part when it most times is just a fuse or sometimes unreliable relay. 28:00 The ALB system and the wheel speed sensors might just need sensor cleaning not replacing. Now that the AC fuse is replaced, you probably can clear the codes. 29:30 You can send your cluster out to be repaired and the mileage might become available. It would be worth doing for resale. After you fix a few things, you will make a killing on that Escalade. You are probably going to be beating people off with a stick. It is probably rust free! If you live in a rust-free area, you could fix up pre 2006 GM trucks and send them north and east for a great profit. My 02, 5.3 and drivetrain had 407k miles and ran beautifully.

Had the same issue with my 2003 H2. New alternator new battery. When i drove it would charge fine but if i left it sitting over night it would be dead and then start with a jump no issue. I tested for parasitic drains and found nothing. I eventually kicked it down the road i was tired of the headache even though it was my dream vehicle

My guess is 145000-150000. It was well cared for for many years before it was stolen. The handicapped placard was probably stolen by the thieves from some other vehicle.

Honestly, what you should do, aside from wearing gloves, is go ahead and remove the rest of the seats. Not only will it allow you to more thoroughly search the car for stuff you don't want, but you could also really deep-clean the carpet. You could even dye the carpet so the interior looks better for the next owner. The Cadillac logo on the gas cap needs to go, but this first-gen Escalade could clean up quite nicely!

The miles are also stored in the BCM. Your used cluster may need to flashed to your vin to display the miles. Sell this thing to Mike!
