You nailed it! They should have been singles and the different formulas should have been advertised as a plus! (And that tiny mirror is useless) People want to know what they are buying AND people will be happier having their expectations match what they actually receive. THANK YOU for pointing out that the PT packaging is so much like the TF but less easy to use because the part over the edge actually raises up as part of the lid unlike the TF. It’s always irritated me because I always forget they open differently from the TF and it gets me every.single.time. 😖I haven’t heard anyone else ever mention this, but it irks me!!

Hiiiii~ Huge fan heeeeere~ 🥰 I think the Viseart point was very apropos! Now while I personally love larger amounts of product offered since I'm a working artist for film/TV (especially if the brand offers a pro discount), I understand I'm not most people. Offering a larger amount AND a smaller amount like Viseart does (they're my favorite matte formula btw lol) is sooo ideal when possible. And when not possible, offering a fair (not too little, not too much) amount for a generally lower price, especially individually, is SO much better for the vast majority of people, even pro artists! We can restock more cheaply as well as restock ONLY the shades we need. Which, Viseart also sells many if not all of their shades individually too, which is just *chef's kiss over and over again*. Patrick just didn't think this through, and that's not even commenting on the different formulas not being stated up front! It's not a HORRIBLE or brand ending launch. The shadows are....fine. But it just wasn't THOUGHT👏🏽 THROUGH👏🏽 lol

TYSM for the in-depth swatch comparisons! The two I was most interested in was “we need better lighting” and “talk to my team”. Because I just knew in my gut that I had the shades in we need better lighting so many times over - in formulas just as good if not better, I decided to take a chance on talk to my team… I don’t think I have EVER returned anything faster in my life lol I picked it up before we had any real swatches so I was only going off the promo stuff but wow was it unremarkable! I compared it in both swatches and on my eyes to my eight-year-old mothership two (the two shades all the way on the right hand side), and they were completely indistinguishable. I feel like the biggest set up for failure from me was when they went over the top justifying the price bc if my expectations were a little lower maybe I wouldn’t have been so disappointed lol I also really can’t stand the packaging! I never hear anyone talk about that but even the blush that I have and like. In Owning it for two years, I still don’t go to open it correctly so thank you for mentioning that! I certainly think that people who don’t have as much makeup as I do will like these, but I was absolutely not impressed!

The only one that interests me is Still at the Club, but I’m so conflicted about what shadows I have that are ‘dupes’ for it. Some reviews say VB Mink is a dupe, some say it’s warmer. Same with CT Smoky Quartz. Chantecaille Pinto is maybe close in color, but not in sparkle. I know I have something close…but is it close ENOUGH? Drama.

Hard agree about wishing they were singles, had less eyeshadow, and NO MIRROR. All those things would have brought the cost down and made them less outrageous. And after learning from others that they have different levels of sparkle, I was like wtf is he talking about with them being "pure pearl". The more I see about these shadows the more I'm convinced they have to be seen in a particular light and at a specific angle for them to really shine.
