if you have the thermal expansion pack which i think you do, use caches, they work like the draws that you we're using but have way more ridiculous storage amount and they're compatible with most machines

You put the item filter on the insert slot rather than the extract slot, that's why it wasn't working, actually it never worked. If it worked it would've picked up the item instantly
