Hey everyone! Welcome to another video and today we're back in Zeepkist for more themed track builds! This episode the track theme is "SLOW" so I decided to build a track with different kinds of "slow" aspects, including a seemingly slow finish that SLINGSHOTS you into the finish! This required using a ridiculous physics-breaking technique brought to my attention by a Discord member and it made the perfect surprise for my friends! I love how you have a dev playing with you guys. Its not often you get that kind of interactions! Did he have any thoughts about the 'sling shot' after the video ended? I assume you guys talk about the state of the game a lot.

This is what I love about the this group of youtubers. I watched mega-channels for years. They played main stream AAA games, never interacted with devs, and didn’t check their comments. Where as with these guys it’s all the other way around

Really enjoyed this track. Been thinking afterwards if one could jump the green booster by climbing the wall and get a faster entry to the backwards boost or even climb to the wrong finish 🤔 e: Had no idea of the glitch booster behavior, and got pretty lucky with fast slingshot on all around good run :D

i think if you get slow in to the booster it flings you back sooner bc it takes less time to invert your velocity. Imagine your forward speed is +x and if you go backwards its -x. So if you come in the booster at +150 speed it takes longer to inverte the speed to -300 (the booster speed). So if you come in to the booster at like +50 speed it takes you less time til you are at -300 speed. This still would not explain the wierd gravity stuff but it would explain why some people need less time in the booster. (It would also mean there is almost no rng involved in it.) very cool video btw sry for the bad english im from germany

That is assuming the booster math still works with negative values, which may not be the case since Yannic would have had no reason to make sure it does.

I'm not gonna lie, I liked Scrapman's low speed track. It was chaotic watching people launch themselves from the boosters. It was also technical with low speed, but the faster drivers can make up more time.

Idea for your next Level : 100 Checkpoints, but the cheese is, that you place 50 at the same spot so it applies 50 Checkpoints at once. Already can imagine the comments from your friends. :D

The answer to the trick stuff: Orientation detection node. Basically it detects what direction the bottom of your car is passing through through check and can be used to activate some sort of logic. So in this case a 360 would detect that you're upside down at the top of the jump, making a speed boost at the track's landing switch on. No idea if anything multiplayer related would mess with that though. A system like this could have potential for other uses too including picking up balloons they can detect/pop as you pass through as a sort of key system.

Idk if this will even be seen and I know this isn't a trailmakers video, but I've had this idea for a long time and think it would make a good video. A multi-player version of the trailmakers survival map where one player is trying to collect all the upgrades while the other players hunt them down. Suggested rules: 1. If there is more than one other player, they should section out the map and be limited to their area. 2. The hunters should be limited to the same number of power cores as the hunted. 3. Whatever your far superior content creator abilities tells you will make for a better video...

i think the think about it the -50 force slows you down and then when you reach like 4 speed it the 300 speed boost kicks in so maybe if you hit the breaks it will shot you back at a lesser time ?

If you want to catch your views up to Dappers, try moving the track creation portion and showcase to the end of the video. Viewer retention is important for YT growth, and I suspect you will get more reversing the order of your videos.

From the look things it feels like you need enough speed to clear the booster in order for the slingshot to work. Rather than RNG it feels like people don’t get the speed they need to actually go over the booster completely and just end up stuck in the middle of it.

I would love to see a gravity item for map making to that changes gravity. Maybe one that pulls in a spherical fashion and one that just changes the direction in the radius of the item kinda like the two space engineers gravity generates the community could do some amazing stuff with that.

New theme idea, Finish this for me/suprise. Start with a part of the track, give it to the next builder, he continues upon it without removing!! give it to the next one and so on.. Add some personal touches tyo your own track for people to identify who did what

negativive Force F=m*a that means you will have negative acceleration, meaning that it will try to accelerate you in the opposite direction that you are going to, topping your speed to 300 SU(Speed Unit). outside of phisic dynamics. the weird floaty effect it's probably something in the code and because i don't really know coding, i can try to assume that the game try to give a bit of forward accelaration, like when you go backwards the car try to stir to turn you to go forward, but i'm not sure about this part

13:49 it’s actually not that hard to do In unity, you just have an invisible asset, then make it a trigger and when the car turns the desired way, it adds to a counter
