y'all be saying about midas sword, so here's my evaluation on what sharpness and damage would he get on midas sword: so here's some facts that are known 1. base midas sword damage - 8 2. midas sword has a 50% chance of increasing it's sharpness level 3. formula for evaluating total damage from a sharpness enchantment is level + 0.5 * (level - 1) and here's the evaluation: first up, from 40 kills average sharpness increase would occur 20 times, so that means he would get 20 sharpness levels then we do the evaluation: 20 + 0.5 * (20 - 1) 20 + 0.5 * 19 20 + 9,5 29,5 is the damage increase then we just add base damage, and the final result is: 37.5 ATTACK DAMAGE after that, let's calculate the damage applied WITH armor given that we have a helmet-accessory equal to a diamond helmet, that gives us 3 defense points with full iron armor and that helmet, the defense points are equal to 16 each armor point blocks about 4% of damage, meaning full iron set with a helmet is around 64% damage reduction if we account that, that means the damage would be around 13.5 with armor (we did not account armor toughness since it is very small) but we also have enchantments, protection, to be specific each protection level gives 1 EPF (enchantment protection factor) from all damages, and it is capped at 20 EPF the formula for calculating protection damage reduction is: EPF / 25 outputting, protection 1 16% damage reduction prot 2 32% damage reduction prot 3 48% damage reduction prot 4 64% damage reduction as you can see, each protection level reduces 16% more damage than it's smaller counterpart in total, if we have certain armor with a diamond helmet (default cosmetic helmet), we will have the following damage applied: iron armor 13,5 base damage prot 1: 11,5 damage (6 hearts) prot 2: 9 damage (4,5 hearts) prot 3: 7 damage (3,5 hearts) prot 4: 5 damage (2,5 hearts) diamond armor 7,5 base damage prot 1: 6,5 damage (3 hearts) prot 2: 5 damage (2,5 hearts) prot 3: 4 damage (2 hearts) prot 4: 3 damage (1,5 hearts) players have a base health of around 41 HP (i said "around" because i included gapples' absorption effects), that is around 20 hearts meaning, if an average player has full prot 1 iron armor, the final damage would be: 12 damage! (that's 6 hearts!) this amount is still VERY big, even though we removed like 80% of it xD if bro had this sword, he could finish off anyone in 4 hits! that's crazy big damage i hope i gave a good explanation, have a nice day y'all! 👍
