46:00 Oh I finally get it, that last weathervane thing is a taunter. It forces you to target it instead of anything else. This is why previously on that arena you couldn't click off of the last enemy, and we didn't realise why because it still had placeholder graphics

Salt Shaker was actually really good for this run given all the slimes you faced in the early game, including all the slime elites that let you stack relics.

So i did the calculation on how many bombs Wander hit. One of the enemies is at 3500 and drops to 2350 which is 1,150 damage he hit 23 bombs in one turn. Meaning in one turn on bombs alone he did 4,600 damage with just that. Now adding the poltorbgeist which hit ALL enemies. Before that the Mental mantle did an extra 163 damage due to it's passive effect. Now poltorbgeist did 1508 damage to every enemy. Which is 6032 damage. In that one turn he did 10,795 damage.

@@LittleMissGuillotine Echorb is good if paired up with the right orbs. If you can get a hit like that and then follow it up with an Echorb you're practically in a win win situation because that's just pain for the enemies.
@LittleMissGuillotine
@LittleMissGuillotine 2 жыл бұрын
@@Mercsblog my issue with echorb is in most situations it will just do less damage then something like poltorbgeist and it inheritly relies on youd previous attack being good. You might get items to make it give some damage on peg but if you used a ball with base damage it would have hit harder

In my opinion, hiking only becomes great once you pair it with something, let it be biking, photography, vlogging, drawing, foraging, or camping for example.

The reason Nosferatu dealt a lot less damage then you expected at 44:20 is because you only healed for 18. As it seems it's based on how much you actually heal, not the number displayed.

A loop mechanic could be nice for this game, and by that I mean having the ability to go back to the starting point with all of your items to face against enemies with heavily boosted HP and slightly increased damage. Good run by the way, bombs ftw.

level layout is the most important thing in this game like i would argue that the "last" boss is easier than the backward man or minotaur simply due to the layout which is a really hard thing to get right cause a good layout trivialize the game due to how many buffs from relic you have while a bad layout make you feel really frustrated due to not being able to control the situation. This game has the feeling of risk of rain or Issac where you like to see big number go off and demolish everything, but the RNG-based nature make it feel like you dont have much control over the game.

I'm glad you didn't skip the second poltorbgheist! The way it moves can be weird, especially in the last act, but AOE is king in this game, from everything I can tell.

And on the food desert, boy howdy do I feel you there. I grew up in a city with two *excellent* Ethiopian restraunts about a block away in either direction. That was my *shit* as a kid. ...And now I live in a pretty much smaller city - but still a city - but it's in the middle of the country. There's exactly one Ethiopian restraunt... Run by a gal who doesn't have enough support and doesn't really cook it that well. For my birthday, I ended up ordering Injera direct from Ethiopia (the only way you can get it premade), and made a feast myself. It's so much work to make that many dishes to feed only a few people, though. Point is, multiculturalism and diversity brings amazing benefits, and outside of cities, you're stuck hoping *some* culture's diaspora happened to settle there so you have *a* choice.

Ah Sushi. It is one of the meals that can range from amazing to "I want to die.." when it comes to taste. They shouldn't even sell supermarket sushi unless it is as fish bait. Around here in NJ we have a place called Sushi Kingdom. It uses really good quality and the sushi is made right when you order it. It melts in your mouth it is so good, and has about 20 different kinds of rolls. That is the good stuff.

The sushi at the grocery store I work at is at least not bad judging by the amount of people who buy it, their hot food and baked goods I can confirm are pretty darn good though (not that that's relevant except maybe to add a potential second source to the potential quality of the sushi)

On the topic of “one bad experienced soured all your experiences.” Yes. This is a thing with humans it seems. My parents can’t drink White Russians anymore because of how drunk and ill they got after drinking too many. I can’t drink Fireball for the same reason. I also had a time where I ate too many Sweettarts to the point that I got violently ill, and my body refused to eat another one for nearly a decade.

I could never live so rural! I love the outdoors but it's nice to walk down the street to a friendly pub, be 10m from all the shopping we could need, 30 from most concerts in the area, have uncountable local breweries and true local cuisine. You don't find that in rural places. My fiance and I just got our home together in West NY, it had a good mix of things. I wish you luck in whatever you find!

On the topic of socially awkward life advice: I think it’s fine if you’re the one who brings it up in a way where a response is warranted. Like the wedding comment for example. If you were talking to somebody and you said, “I’m not sure what I really want to do for my wedding- if we should go all out or stay more conservative with the cost.” I think it would be less weird at that point if they then said, “You should get it done in/at *cheap location* and use the extra money for something else like having a larger honeymoon budget or getting new furniture for your place.” But it’s totally weird if you tell somebody you’re getting married and then they just blast you with, “Do it in Vegas!” Same thing for the moving state comment. If you just mention you’re moving, they definitely shouldn’t just tell you where to move. If you say that you’re not sure where to move it’s less weird.. although they really should clarify that further by asking what places you’ve thought about moving to. If you bring up the idea of wanting to move states and then you provide a list of criteria that you want met in your final location, totally seems fine to me if they reply with some ideas. I guess it really comes down to how the person says it. Like I do actually live in Texas, so I will totally preach to you the benefits of living here except you’ve already told me you want your winters wet and cold, your summers mild, and your falls to be gorgeous. That’s NOT Texas. You’re getting swamp-ass summers down here for sure. So if I said like “you could move here. The cost of living is pretty low,” and you hit me with a, “the climate isn’t what I want,” then I shouldn’t keep pressuring you into Texas LOL that’s just weird.
@Red-Tower
@Red-Tower 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, definitely how I see it. Or like if it's the topic and you're familiar with their criteria, explaining how a suggestion meets that criteria is way more useful than just blurting out "do this!" Day9 has that as a basic rule that helps with backseating a decent bit; if you explain why you're making a suggestion/why/how one choice is better than another, people are more receptive and it can be informational even if doesn't end up being useful in the moment.

They might do some kind of endless ascension or something, like you can continue your run by starting back at the beginning with higher difficulty. At least, it's an idea that might be cool? Idk it's still definitely in development so we'll see what they do.

Glorious SuffeRing is great with matryorbsha ball, the relic that makes crits refresh and vice versa, gift that keeps on giving, critsomallos fleece, matryoshka shell, cookie, lucky penny, overhammer, and of course swoltorb. That way, you get lots refreshes so you quickly stack the peg bonuses, you get a lot of crits, which work with critsomallos fleece for a multiplyer.

I have had good sushi exactly once while in the continuous lower 48 states, it takes personal knowledge about how sushi is supposed to be to get half- decent sushi in the lower 48. If you actually want good or great sushi your only gonna find it in Hawaii and Japan respectively. (Yes I speak from personal experience). 60% of my meals in Japan were 7/11 to go sushi. And even the worst sushi I had was better than the best sushi I'd found in the states as of my trip. I've since found sushi in California and Hawaii that surpassed the average 7/11 to go sushi in Japan but all actual sushi places in Japan was significantly better than all places I've had sushi in the states. Partially because to become an American sushi chef without a supervisor in America takes 7 years of training, but to actually become an independent chef in Japan takes 20 years of training.

I moved from cali to Texas. Best decision. Cheaper living, but the economy is steadily growing, even in these turbulent times. Some areas are right-wing, but close to the big cities it’ll be pretty progressive. Lots of young people coming this way.
