@cooltoy If you want the full size one is less rare so maybe trade a collector that has one of you keep the original parts from this one you might get a full one and then you won’t need to convert it. AFAIK the pedestal is also rare on this unit so treat it and its parts kindly. If I was in the states and owned the full cab I’d trade you, as I’ve always wanted the standup version.

Not sure what's more impressive, the Daytona 2 and Sega 3 board in an original Daytona USA cabinet, or the Aladdins Castle shirt from the Battlefield Mall. I am currently rehabbing a Ghouls 'n Ghosts arcade. What kind of black paint would you recommend to use for the side of the cabinet?

Is it easy to get an arcade shifter to work with your PC?
@cooltoy10 ай бұрын
Shifters are easy as they just use micro switches and can be connected to a pc with just about any kind of usb encoder. The tricky connections are pedals and steering as those require analog input signals to be read by specialized usb encoders

@cooltoy9 ай бұрын
Unless you are using the exact same wheel and encoders as I did I couldn’t really help you out in that aspect as how I set up my games would be completely unique compared to your set up with different hardware

Any reason why you couldn't have just sanded the old art off rather than scraping it off?
@cooltoy10 ай бұрын
Typically it just sands the surface graphic off and then creates a horrendous mess when it gets to the sticker residue on these old machines

It’s not complete because you left all that rust around the shifter and that beat down artwork on the control panel, get in there and get it 100% 😂

That control panel graphic is "unobtanium" so I'm glad it was as in decent enough condition as it is. The rust just adds character 😆
