If they really depend on those silly windows then that's probably what it would look like.

As good as the LEGO Rogue One wave was, it's really disappointing that we never got an AT-ACT set. They are taller and larger than AT-AT's, which mean the relative size of the regular AT-AT sets could be somewhat upscaled (even if it's just for an AT-ACT) including that, they have a different body function (could have been a removable cargo area) along with a new head, awesome possibility for a set but instead LEGO built the boring AT-M6

Hoth atst is better because it doesnt show the studs and is a good mix of system and technic

Having designed a custom Lego AT-ST walker myself I can concur: it is not easy getting those narrow legs to be structurally sound, while maintaining the general shape of them. (And it also doesn't get any easier if you motorize it like I did xD). I really like how your MOC turned out, ya got some smooooth panels there ! Using the general structure from the 2016 set was an excellent choice, a great set to build up from !

Let me guess: You built a clone turbo tank instead.

@@christopherstein2024 haha I wish, but a Clone Turbo tank eats up a lot more light bluish gray bricks than an AT-ST walker does. But maybe one day...

little bit of a nerd nitpick but the Hoth version of the at st is a bit different than the more known Endor version. The Hoth on has a smaller head and the “eyes” are completely shut. Obviously no hate or anything just want to let you know

I know I thought about building the Hoth version but I just like this version a bit better

This is absolutely amazing work! You managed to pack so many details into this moc and I cant wait to see it combined with the Hoth moc you're planning to make! Can really relate to that problem of the head being too heavy for the legs to hold it since I also built an AT-ST moc a few years ago but the way you solved it with that clean black stand still looks really good! Keep up the amazing work! As always huge inspiration.

Nice model and good video, thanks! :) -What's the part number of the two pieces cradling the main guns? I've been scouring the Bricklink catalogue for them for what feels like ages...
