So amazing, traditional Chinese architecture it's fascinating!

Love how china keeps the old traditions alive !!! A country must pull together to keep its culture. With the community coming together to create structures, using old techniques and customs passed down from generations !!! Beautiful !!!

I enjoy watching each piece of wood joined together without using any nail or screw. Like a jigsaw puzzle parts connect and voila a beautiful wood house. I like to see the landscaped gardens now that the buildings are completed and furnished.

Just wow. Modern tools with traditional techniques. Can't get better in my view. Every country has a vast wealth of historical knowledge that the world is sadly forgetting. Fortunatly there are people like this who document their process, so we at least get a glimpse of the process.
You should be very proud of yourself you have Built a Very Beautiful Home

Once all the timber weds together, it will sing like a bird, just opening a window and getting that wood hinge sound, or walking on the slight creeky floor boards will be a delight, when this young man finishes this, and ladscapes it, He will feel like the emperor.

I'm just amazed at how those roof tiles stay in place without any attachment method. They're just set in place.
@jae4ze19 күн бұрын
I don't know about Chinese roof tiles, but for European style roof tiles, they are formed with a small piece of clay on the back side that hooks onto the tile below it and the weight of all of the tiles together sort of locks them all in place.
@rockys772619 күн бұрын
@@jae4ze Does the water get channeled under the tile or on top? It looks like the Chinese tile all drain to the bottom.
@jae4ze19 күн бұрын
@@rockys7726 because of the way roof tiles overlap, unless there are extremely strong winds, water runs from the top of each tile onto the top of the tile beneath it without making contacts with the wood underneath.
This is amazing! The craftsmanship is just beautiful.

Beautiful structure and workmanship. What enormous quantity timber had been used in this old fashioned way. Just as well not every house is built like this, there would not be a tree left on the planet.🌲🌍🌑 There is enough timber here for 30 normal homes🪚🧑🧑🧒🧑🧑🧒🧒
@jae4ze19 күн бұрын
It was nice that they did us some up-cycled timber where they could, I doubt most of those joints and connection points are commonly milled, so it makes sense they had to use new wood for that.
