Pretty cool looking design. I don't see much steampunk designs in non-steampunk games. So it's great seeing this design in game. Plus the gold and black color scheme looks so amazing.

The large central roadwheel/return roller is a really cool idea; I never would have thought to do something like that. It reminds me a lot of old-fashioned riverboats, which I think fits the steam aesthetic really well.

The tank design looks great aesthetically, but I have a few gripes about realistic steam and steam power generation, if you don't care about realism don't read this ramble. So the rear 4 "boilers" make sense as redundancies would be good during combat, similar to how jets have multiple engines, but you would want your steam exiting the boilers to immediately go to a turbine, in order to make rotational energy (spin your shafts). This is to minimise loss of energy in the steam to friction in pipe lengths and especially elbows. Also, some way to vent steam outside the tank would be preferable, so that when your starting/stopping the steam generators, or when things go wrong, your not cooking the crew and internals in your massive steam oven. The "boilers" at the front don't make sense, however as storage tanks for water or fuel they would. Water/steam rises as it heats up, not having an outlet at the top means your losing a lot of energy by forcing the steam back down, generating a lot of friction, and need reinforcing on the elbow(s) going back down, because if any water is brought to that point... it'll work and act similarly to a bullet shooting the pipe(s). These two front boilers are also extra, extra redundant since you have four in the back, when one or two would only really be required. Another issue is having exposed/unarmoured pressure vessels ("boilers"), as each would act as a balloon when shot, but more instant and explosive *boom*.

The lancet was awesome! I loved the steampunk inspired design. The pink naval gun tank looked goofy as hell, I'd love to see the vid on it :O

What makes sprocket so amazing is that I have gotten to use my knowledge of blender's(mostly any similar 3D programs) to freely lowpoly model a hull/turret. It's something that I personally wanted from day one I bought it and immediately got it as well... This is a dreamgame for a tanknut...

One of the things I've been trying to motivate myself to do is to build up some themed little factions in my own game - thoughts on doing that yourself? Like it could be pretty cool to build a little faction of tanks in these steampunky style (and give their faction certain traits) and then build other factions as their adversaries. Just a long term project idea I guess!

You should do a little challenge where you play each mission but on one tank of fuel. For example, if you have 500 litters and end the mission on 420, then that's how much you get for the next mission, and so on and so on. What ya think?

As long as you don't bring a really small amount of fuel at the beginning, it would be easy.

I can imagine there would be a V2 of this Tank with a turret on it, handcranked ofc. Or a functioning back cannon

back cannon would have to be in a separate compartment as I dont think you can have rear facing hull guns, but it could be done.

when you're firing at long range (looks like some of those targets you were firing at were >1000m away) you should adjust your targeting reticle (the orange speck on the screen) to its maximum, either 800 or 1000m (I don't remember what it is in the game). By default it's set to 200m which is way too short for these big open field maps, especially if you have a powerful gun on your tank.

The pink one looks stupid and utterly ridiculous. I really want a video featuring it next Lancet is cool too i guess. Jokes aside, i now don't fear this game because of Lancet's simple design, i may even give it a go when i have time.
