Everytime I hear someone saying they're a perfectionist to justify their procrastination, I think about Kyle. This is what a true perfectionist looks like, someone completely obsessed about their craft, they don't really have time to think about how perfectionist they are.

Completely Obsessed with their craft but claims his pattern welded steel is damascus. Looks amazing but i die a little on the inside everytime he says it. Damascus is to KZbin-Swordsmithing as Folded Steel is to Weeaboos.

The classic Royer style Bluing and Gold inlay of the bolsters, the Royal Purple and royal blue anodizing of the Titanium Liners and the beautiful File work that is intensely highlighted by the Blue surrounded by the Purple, and of course the Purple and Black Carbon fiber Scales; and the Feather Pattern is my most Favorite design of Pattern welded steel blades, and it is, by many accounts, the simplest of the patterns to make, yet the result is simply captivating! Everything about this Knife is stunning, right down to the Amethyst Crystal in the Thumb tab. For someone like Me whose Favorite Color is a deep dark Purple, this knife screams to me : "Buy me! You know you want me! Am I NOT You favorite Color? DO I not have your Favorite designed Damascus steel blade? you know that a Royer Blade would simply never depreciate, but only increase in value, it would be an investment like no other, and a conversation piece when you have visitors over, and it would be a worthy Family Heirloom for your Son too!" Damn it Kyle! Why! Why did you make it Black, Purple, Blue and Gold, with a feather damascus blade!?!?!? If only I could afford your work!

This is what the (improperly called) damascus is all about. To have an intelligent design behind it, to have all those layers create a specific design that looks good....not all the stupid blades out there called damascus and have ugly blobs and lines without any actual intent behind it, random spots and the smiths being so proud of their "damascus" creation. THIS is something that has bragging rights to it. Amazing pattern arranged with good taste.

That's a folder fit for a king. I'd love to just hold it and enjoy every little detail. Clearly there are many little details because he spares none.

I have no words...to describe what I see...what I feel... This knife looks as if it's not from this earth. To say it's another masterpiece, doesn't come near to what I'd like to say. So beautiful, you let us see every step, from the plan 'till the finished work. Hard to take my eyes away from that knife. I could watch it for hours. So I have to force myself. How else could I watch your other works?😂😂😂
