2 Belgian u18s per season, 1 EU u18 per season, and 1 wildcard any nation u18 per season. So you’d only be able to sign 4 players per season, and they would all be home grown while keeping the core Belgian

I love youth academy challenge especially as it boosts the production of national players ! and even though it requires patience, how great doesn't it feel when you finally get that fantastic young players that you can build on! Great save!

I really love watching the rebuilds, i have one thing to share tho and that is about the tactic. Personally, i feel that it can become repetitive with only using one set tactic. So maybe if possible you could start out with this tactic but adapt along the way with the players you get in the youth intake and the players you sign. I don’t want to sound all too negative though so i just want to say that you are one of the best fm creators in the game and keep on going💪💪

Youth only rebuilds, I think it's definitely OK to sign 16yo to make HGC but maybe only from the home nation to help the national team. Amazing commitment, that youth intake for a club like that was brutal

You should be able to sign 1 under 16 player every 2 seasons from anywhere in the world Imo find some absolute gems

This is the rule you should follow; UEFA defines locally-trained or 'homegrown' players as those who, regardless of their nationality, have been trained by their club or by another club in the same national association for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21.

Something similar but how about Young Boys or Basel in Switzerland and you can sign U-16s but only from countries that it shares a border with?

Signing 16 year olds sounds great.Maybe only allowing yourself to sign a small number of them each season would be a fair way to keep the difficulty balanced.

If a player joins your club as late as the day before they turn 19 they can become home grown. So if you buy a player from let's say Kenya that is 18 years and 364 days old he can become home grown in both club and country as long as he isn't loaned out.

I don’t see anything wrong with buying players who are 18 or under. Maybe restrict yourself on using them in the first team until they have home grown club status though?

Yeah I think that’s what I’ll do! Think they have to be U16 though which is good cause makes it harder 😀
