Nice railway. I'm happy to hear you like the HGLW loco as I was the one who designed it back in 2012. HGLW took over when I left UK.

Thanks Michael glad you like it! Oh brilliant, yes it’s a lovely little engine and fits the railway perfectly. Would recommend them to anyone.

When you use card for coaches etc, coat both sides with shellac before you start, let it dry then use that. It soaks in , seals it and makes it more like thin ply. Then when the models done paint it all with cheap oil paint, Inside and out, all one colour then when that’s dry paint as you see fit. They re not submersible waterproof but they are sealed and now should never warp or distort. And can take a shower of rain. Enjoy the washing line.

Thanks for the tips. I’ve been meaning to try some shellac. I will give that a go :) many thanks! Best wishes, Josh

This has literally just popped up on my feed - looks fantastic Josh! Completely forgot to touch base with you on how it was all going - es especially the 'home spun' coaches! Think it's far more flexible than standard gauge and gives a lot of fun too! Still clearing pebbles in my back garden. Halted during the winter, but hope to progress to get the trackbed in ASAP - especially after watching this! Look forward to future updates! (-:

Hi James! Hope you’re well! That’s really cool that it’s popped up on your feed. I’ve made a few videos now, so glad they are getting out and about. You’re right about the narrow gauge. I find it more interesting and much more of a margin for trial and error. I like the fact that every vehicle in a train could be completely different and it still looks authentic. That’s the attraction of narrow gauge for me. Be sure to subscribe and I’ll keep you updated with the latest vids. Look forward to hearing about your railway too!

Ive got my eyes on a Millie, although I’ve been hesitant to press the order button. I’ve got a baby on the way in a couple of weeks so I’ve decided not to make any big spends just yet. Would be nice for the summer though.
@madbren3 жыл бұрын
@@joshw6226 yea very true I hear you on that one has to prioritise for sure, beleive me Millie is a great little loco and if you get it with the full cab it really looks great that is an add on the full full cab. When ever you get it in the future if you have any questions just ask me. It's important to run it in first that's buy letting it run for roughly 10hrs plus with the loco off the bench this will help break in the cylinders and seals before you actually run it on the rails.
@joshw62263 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the advice. It’ll either be a Millie or a Bertie but I like the idea of a Jennie too. I expect I would have to stick with an 0-4-0 on the curves that I have though.
