Hey Brock. Since you've done Dwarven, can you do Atlantean or Elven next? I think actually making multiple kingdoms would give you a lot of cool bases and even better is that you can link them together with roads and aquaducts.

@NotNotBrock I’m not done watching the video typing this rn but I thought it was a MUST that I suggest these. If you want to make the build look old and worn down and suggest making a CRAZY overgrowth of moss towards the end, maybe spread some wither roses (for dead roses) and dead coral (for dead bushes) around the bottom of the area and spread a ton of vines and lichen, mostly on the dwarves structure. Probably increasing more towards the bottom. Two other ideas is you should mix the bright green symbols with some dark green blocks (as a majority) to make it look like that detail is losing its color and maybe make all the oak transition into a different block towards the bottom to make the wood look like it’s dying.

hey brock! i've been loving the series and can't wait to see where this world goes next! I just wanted to hop in and talk about the AI section a little bit because i think there is a large misconception about the issues surrounding it. I am in the camp that AI shouldn't be used for art or art reference at all, the reason is - in order to learn what art is and how to generate the pieces that the bot is being asked for, the bot is being fed thousands of pieces of art by artists without their concent, including my art. The bots aren't learning the rules of art from this process, they are learning to copy, which means there are plenty AI generated pieces out there that directly copy the style of another artist. To give a real world example, it would be like an advertising company rolling out a new mascot that looked exactly like a character you made up, in your style, but they've flipped the colors. They never paid you, they never reached out for permission, and they never tell anyone that the character comes from something you made up. This not only means that the artist is never getting paid for their work, it also means that the stream of attention (new followers, new purchases etc) that would normally come from a company shouting you out, doesn't come. AI art generation causes the same problem. the bots aren't siting the artists that they used to generate the pieces they are asked for because the art they are learning from was stolen and the artists never gave concent. So the stream of attention never goes back to the artist no matter how good a piece made using their work as reference is. it's an extreemly damaging cycle that can completely ruin smaller artists. No hate intended to you, brock, in this explination! I just wanted to elaborate on your comment in the video
@missingnoghost Жыл бұрын
THANK YOU, I was looking for this comment! As someone who's job is being an artist, the rise of ai art is extremely frightening, and I feel like I've wasted my whole life dedicating myself to a craft that just became obsolete. Theoretically, there shouldn't be anything wrong with the way Brock used it. If Midjourney and other AI programs only pulled from a specific collection of public domain images and artworks that had been uploaded with the artists consent, then I would be all for AI art, but as it is now there is no control over who's art the images are pulled from. The big issue here is that the more people use these programs for anything at all, even just inspo like Brock did, the more they train the AI. And the more they train the AI, the harder it is to tell what's AI art and what was made by a human. And the harder it is to tell, the more problems can arise. There have already been instances of people selling AI generated art as their own work, as well as people forgoing commissioning real artists in favour of getting an AI to recreate the artists art style. I mean, imagine if someone worked out how to make the program recreate Minecraft builds. Imagine if, eventually, all people would have to do is feed a screenshot from Brock's videos into an AI, and the AI would then spit out a schematic, or even a file containing the finished build. Imagine if all that time Brock spent practicing to get better at builds was snatched up and mastered by a program in a matter of seconds. Heck, AI videos and deepfakes are becoming a thing. Eventually someone might be able to generate their very own NotNotBrock audio or video clip, where he says whatever they want him to say. No hate to you at all Brock, a lot of people throw strawman arguments around which make it hard to know for real just how harmful AI art is. We artists just need you and others to know that our jobs and livelihoods are at stake. I love you man, you're one of my favourite Minecraft KZbinrs for real, and I have confidence in that you'll understand.

Perhaps consider incorporating some floating structures into the dwarf hole, These buildings should be supported by beams from above, but not necessarily within the tree itself. You could also put in several railway systems that are supposed to transport people throughout the area. Imagine seeing multiple railways, like 7 to 8, all leading to different locations at the same time, serving as an early form of transportation for the dwarfs. Also, I recommend to construct the bridges over the ooze river from stone to create a striking contrast from the dirt mounds.
