One solution for the whole "filling with water" problem would be to leave a little room below the lowest deck, and build the floor of the lowest desk with holes in it, so any water can go into the extra room. And then you add a pump to that extra room to get the water back out.

Big tip to seal all the cracks just use small clear tape (waterproof) it will make the cracks not leak water making it float.hope this helps❤😊 Timestamps: 0:58 1:19

I would suggest putting air bladders in the void between the hull plates instead of sponges. The sponges will just hold the water, which won't be any better than just the water only being there. Those airpak bladders that come in stuff shipped to your house would work.

Tip on making aircrsft carriers which I haven't done yet, you could instal another runway, or add some more details lights Optical Landing system. (AND ARRESTING WIRES) lights or the numbers on the Islans like, 88, or 67

My grandfather is a former Navy plane captain, which is someone who checks all of the jet engines to make sure they are in tip top shape before they launch the plane off the aircraft carrier. My grandfather worked on the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Enterprise (not the Star Trek ship). He was stationed out in California during that time back in the 80s.

When he worked at NASA, he was in charge of working on the main engines for all 7 of the space shuttles, from Endeavor to Discovery. I got to see Atlantis at the space center a few years ago. It is much larger and much more beautiful in person than on a photo.

Really good build and i love it alot tho if you are going to build more ships i can only recomend making the sides airtight with wrap since thats where most of the water comes from, the bottom of the ship isnt your enemy its the walls

Really nice build ! 👏 I built a Lego boat 25 years ago, around a block of carved polystyrene. (so it didn't need to be watertight) The propeller axis passed through the hull with a seal to protect the engine. (There was no remote control at the time, si I had to make a special long wire up to the battery)

I think the water got in because you didn't wrap the boat "vertically", so the water could seep in from the side and not from the bottom, and the sponges don't actually remove the water, they just soak it up, but the water's still inside. I think that you should wrap the boat around the hull as well, or build a pump mechanism to remove the water once it gets inside. Perhaps you could even pump the water out backwards to create thrust

A good trick I used when making Lego boats was to put cling film round the body then lock it in place with one line of bricks and you get a water tight hull
