The steering can be done much, much easier without batteries. Lego motors are default electric engines that can perform generator tasks as well. Put the generator (motor 1) on the steering wheel, directly connect it with the steering motor (motor 2) and the generated electricity will move the 2nd motor. Only downside is the slight loss of power. Meaning you will have to turn the generator slightly faster then the actual engine will do. But what are transmissions for...

Hey thats a REALLY cool build and I think it is awsome that you do Simulators so i think next you should do the dino game that pops up saying no connection with obstcals's and speed that increases by diffulculty as you go along!!!

2 Ideas, to utilize this more: 1. Put a ruder on the ship instead of the gear track, so the moving water turns it side to side. That might make for a more maretime feeling. 2. do it in a longer, perhaps flatter tank, and put targets in the water, so the get moved around and timing becomes important.

Cool project thanks for uploading the video. Anyways only thing that I'm not a fan of is the propeller that creates the waves only thing I would change about it is either not do it because it's not really much function for all the work involved but if you weren't able to increase the strength of the waves to the point where it causes the shift to bob up and down making it harder to hit the targets that would be pretty cool I think. I've been a subscriber for 1 years and you're videos are awesome. One misconception is that batteries can electrocute us, but its not possible because it is DC and the voltage is very low. Also Electricity can't pass through clear and clean water unless it is very dirty and has a lot of minerals in it. this is just a comment. DO NOT TRY YOURSELF AND PUT YOURSELF IN WATER THAT HAS ELECTRICAL LIVE WIRES IN IT.
