Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are building mazes for each other! 2 people will race through the other person's maze, and whoever finishes the maze first gets a point! Whoever can get the most points after escaping everyone else's maze is the winner!

Multiplayer Monday Idea: reverse hide and seek where you have 2 seekers and 1 hider. The catch is that each of you will build your own hide and seek arena for when you are the hider. The winner of each round is the seeker who first finds the hider. The thing that makes this interesting is that the the hiders can design their map ahead of time with specific hiding strategies. The only rule that is important is that the hider has to at all times be some what accessible by the seekers. Seems like fun!

Another maze idea is a multi-story building, but have each section rotate very slowly. Goal is to get to the top, and then back down. So, only one door, it gets locked, and the switch is on the roof. So they have to go through it all again, but by the time they to the top, everything would have changed. Also, don't tell them that it rotates.

@@5peciesunkn0wn I was thinking more like the rooms they're _not_ in are rotating. So, while they're trying to figure out one section, the second section rotates. Like a sensor from the entrance activates the rest, and certain passageways have some too.

next MM idea: "payload" get kosmo in here too probably instructions: 2 persons on each team you mush build a bipedal walker/mech with a weakness so that your mech can be destroyed deliver the payload to the other team's base and blow it up you can respawn your mech as many times as you want but only at the base first person only could be fun so why not try it sometime

Multi Player Monday Idea: Inch Worm Race! Where you each try to create an inch worm vehicle, using vastly pistons and springs to move it forward. (Other methods of movement are at your discretion. If you don’t know what an inch worm is, or how it moves, there are videos to draw inspiration from! 😊) the goal is to run a simple or complex race track, to discover who’s inch worm proves to be the fastest worm!! I’d love to see an “overgrown map” with a hollow log to cross through! Would be cool.

I don't know what is or isn't possible with the mechanics of this game (haven't played it, only seen it in videos), but my first thought seeing your maze as you explained it in the intro was to wonder if it could be flipped on two or three axes for even more disorientation. I'm thinking of that gizmo... I don't know what it's called. That thing that a person gets strapped into a cage in the center and the cage is contained within a support ring that can rotate the cage along one axis, and that ring is contained within another support ring that can rotate the inner ring along a different axis, and that's all contained within yet another support ring that can rotate the middle ring along the final axis. Back before online shopping when malls were popular they used to sometimes have one of these things set up in the mall for people to ride (and risk making themselves sick). Imagine building a multi-floor maze-like structure like that (even better if the whole structure is a cube and there's no obvious default orientation) so it rotates every way possible. Every surface could be a ceiling, wall, or floor depending on how the whole structure is currently rotated.

And now what you should do is make a maze that rotates on 2 axis. for example from above it rotates on the x axis. for the next maze you should make it rotate on the x and y axis. So it'll rotate forward, then to the right or left, then forward, then right or left every 50 seconds.

What about a completely different challenge: you don't build vehicles at the start and have to run to the finish BUT you allowed to use ANYTHING to get advantage from dragging a wall in front of other players to even making a small car (but creations you make cannot be taken on lift) that will take some time but give you a huge advantage if other players didn't build a wall of explosives! I think it would be a refreshing experience

I'd like to see a single maze that has a few different configurations and it changes every so often, similar to Moonbo's but mayhap have almost every wall change

While they were both still in the first half of that one I was wondering about that possibility. Just have random walls shifting occasionally so that where you came from could turn into a dead end or where you thought you saw a dead end could turn into a clear passageway. Bonus points if it's handled with switches or sensors or whatever instead of just using timers. Maybe overuse those things so they become like decorations in the walls instead of standing out as something unusual, and then only some of them are wired up to make things happen and it's not clear what exactly is the cause of any particular change. (I suppose in a way this could turn out sort of like the combination of up-down sensor triggers in that one "maze" from another video, the one that was an infinite loop until the correct combination was triggered. But in this the correct combination would be something more like walking into the correct dead ends in a certain order.) And I guess maybe the rules could change after the treasure is removed? Like some walls that never moved at all before become moveable and some that were moveable before get locked into a fixed position, and maybe some things do start moving based on timers and all the manual triggers are changed for whatever is still not timed. I don't know how hard that'd be to set up. I haven't played the game. I've only seen it in some videos. Mostly on this channel.

Want a cooler version of this maze. Add an additional layer, separate the layers with flooring, then make large gaps in the flooring. This will ultimately create 4 mazes, two separate mazes with inverses on the inside.
