You should do a video on how hack checkers determine hacked pokemon. There are some pokemon that are such good hacks its impossible to tell just by viewing the pokemon data. Ive gotten a bunch of pokemon traded to me that are perfect 31IV shinies, but they look completely normal, not illegal moves, abilities or pokeball

I'm trying to learn how to bot in a different game (Diablo 2), but I remember I used to RNG back in gen 4(?) to try to get a good IV pokemon so I can battle the battle subway (or something similar). This is really cool to see. I took a lot of the same steps as you did while working on an automated Mario Party CPU Player livestream. I had a python script that would send instructions to an Arduino Nano that controlled the Gamecube via NicoHood's controller interface. I also ran into a similar issue with image recognition, and ended up using a USB Gecko to read the Gamecube's memory directly so I could determine which CPU won at the end of every game.

German version uses a set offset from USA Seeds, we have a huge EU seed spreadsheet for them. Only JPN and US have a non-math difference.

The issues you were having with the mGBA emulator also remind me of the problems I was dealing with. I was trying to follow the RNG FRLF seeding process using an analogue pocket. I unfortunately had the same experience where I could not hit any of the seeds that were listed on the google spreadsheet listed in your prior videos. I turned to mGBA to see if I could get some intuition but the exact same problem occured, lol. Just was not able to hit the seed I needed.

for 3DS backcompat, there's hardware registers that allows for overriding the controller input, this combined with the backcompat GBA ram being in ARM9 memory should allow for doing it in software for there :) (may still be interesting because the backcompat hw in the CTR/LGR socs might be slightly different)

I am interested in building a bot that could take a certain seed and frame advance value and automatically hunt either static or sweet scent encounters. I will let you know my results. I wonder if we could integrate the spreadsheet as a CSV or XML file and relate the desired seed to a number of milliseconds. I read the GC Serial Protocol spec and it is surprisingly simple.

I will not make a guide on how to build this, simplecontrollers has one already lol. But there's also no reason, it's just a personal project. Once the seeds are farmed there's no point to using it.
