I built a sound proof box for my air compressor

This video is about me making a sound dampening box to put my loud compressor into.i dont know anything about wood working but it turned out pretty good.

I need to make this exact thing. KZbin algorithm is practically psychic. I didn’t even search this. Heat retention seems to be the main problem to solve. Im using a compressor to feed plants every hour. Takes a break at night, but i want to feed the plants every 5 minutes so i got to figure out the sound problem.

would’ve been nice to hear it running before and after, just picked up an 80 gallon and i’ll need to build a box similar to yours but on a larger scale.

good job - keep it up. wouldn't u WANT it to absorb heat though?... I may be wrong, but if u wouldn't want the insulation to absorb heat, how would u want the insulation to handle heat? I ask because I googled "Does Rockwool hold the heat?" & the 1st search result says "Rockwool insulation is able to retain heat very well, which means it keeps homes and buildings at even temperatures easily"

I've seen rockwool used in a few videos for air compressor enclosures... maybe those videos made a mistake lol keep it though g

Hey brother awesome Do you have a video of how it sounds? I want to do the same. I have a small barbershop and I need to find a place to put my air compressor, I can’t put in the bathroom. The only place I can put the air compressor is next to my barbershop station

I don’t have a video of the sound. It is quiet enough to have a conversation standing next to it but I wouldn’t recommend in shop with continuous use it will definitely be noticed
