Another word of advice: You can use a longer hose hooked up to the gas canister of the paintball gun, and have a larger one mounted somewhere inside the turret. This way, it’s protected by the armor and not sticking out, and it has easier access to change it for the driver.

14:39 when that happens, have a milling bit handy. Go to the other side, and using the milling bit (which should be smaller than the actual drill bit) dip a hole slowly until you've touched the tip of the drill bit (you'll know). Then, using some drill rod (always have some drill rod for punch work in the shop) punch the broken drill bit out from the other side. If the part needs to be clean on the other side, just thread that small hole, put a bolt in, cut it off and sand the surface. Nobody will ever know.

Adding a target with a break circuit to the camera would make this a really interesting thing at a paintball game, other players could render the shooting system of the tank useless by shooting the target forcing the driver to exit the tank, but the tank would still be a massive threat in a game. Could be very cool to play against.
@Bill_DeBerry2 жыл бұрын
Don't even need to add a target to break the circuit on the camera. Just shooting the lens would render the weapon basically unusable. If it's going to be driven in an actual match though, you would need to encase the camera to prevent damage to it, and that would effectively increase the size of the target to hit to render the camera inoperable.

If you don't already have one, you should consider adding a safety latch for when you're driving with the hatch open. If you hit a bump or something, the hatch might swing forward and slam shut, possibly getting damaged or injuring you.
@jasonrose92282 жыл бұрын
Came here to say this. My friend had a few fingers cut off by the hatch on a Bradley that someone forgot to secure open while they were driving. Props to whoever reattached his fingers as they worked just fine as far as I could tell.

Absolutely awesome. Unfortunatly, war games, in general, are not my thing, but this video-AD is top notch. Wish I had a tank when I was a kid haha Awesome job. Can't wait to see your new build!

I'll be honest there is very little I would change here. Very sound design and just cool as heck. Your son looks happy and that is something he'll never forget. Hell I'd be laughing maniacally driving this around.

I would change the tracks to off the shelf units. While these tracks are really well built I would like the option to just buy a set. A larger 1000cc would be a bit better. Adjustable atv shocks could work as well.

@@kameljoe21 Ya, I like your ideas, and I like his. The world is a conglomeration of billions of ideas from people with such diverse differences in background and environment, you should build one and make a video as he did hell I'd for sure watch, and probably learn sumthin.

@@bradcornelison7380 I am out of the fab business. I just can not do it any longer. I wish I could. Though I have learned quite a bit over the years and know a good idea when one comes around. There are a lot of things I wish I had done better or different. I have built things with my friends to which we could have filmed yet I am not in to the filming of things all that much. I like the idea of it yet I lack the skills and willingness to do it. Video editing is something I just do not care to do.

Great job! I just LOVE how you don't let ANYTHING stop you - and how you make adjustments and repairs on the fly, to GET STUFF DONE! Great result, too. I bet your son was tickled to pieces when you gave him the keys and he ran over swarmed inside, and roared away! FANTASTIC!

Очень большая и сложная работа. Это круто!!! Так смотрится серьезно. Для большей брутальности можно было маркер поместить в трубу 50 мм, например, в ПВХ. Хотя, куда уже лучше. Крутой отец 👍

I started watching this wondering how it was going to go. He seemed to give up pretty easy on the 4 wheeler engine so I had doubts. I thought me might simply bolt a frame together and use a lot of off the shelf parts but he fabricated almost all it. Very impressive. When I saw the axles and clutch plates I thought we was going to machine the splines into the axles. I almost groaned when he started pushing the pressure plates directly onto the un-machined axles. That is one of the few times I was less than fully impressed. A lot of time and hard work went into this. Very impressive. I laughed hard at the floor covered in rust. Glad to see that he used a real mask.

Amazing Dad! What a fun and wonderful tank build. Turned out way better than I could have imagined. I think it will eventually get tiring to operate it with such limited vision but I'm sure that will be addressed in time out of necessity

Outwardly, that vehicle built does remind me of an M114 AFV (and to some extent the Wiesel AWC and also the East German KinderPanzers). And I must say, I tip my hat to you for creating such a fine machine out of scrap good Sir. Respect!
