I hope that bridge collapse isn’t as bad for you guys as it looks from a distance. The state (with help from the federal government) need to put up some type of temporary bridge that the military would use in a war, maybe some ferries for people with park and rides on both sides of the bridge.

@@bartmix8994thanks. It’s not “devastating” as far as day to day to traffic. There are several other ways around. The port closure is the major problem. For both state and national economies. And the local families with workers there.

That's crazy. When I was in school for auto tech, I had an instructor that got on to a kid for looping his hand through the steering wheel and turning the engine on. He pulled his arm out and turned to everyone and said never do that because the power steering system can have an issue and the wheel will snap around and has enough force to break your arm. I wonder if he had first hand experience...I've heard about it but never seen it in person.

Thank you for simply idling the engine after starting it. More than 95% of all engine damage occurs within 15 seconds of start up from cold. It can take 15 seconds for oil to reach the top end of the engine - so it's pure metal on mental until then.

Big engine in a little car makes it fun. I put a ZZ430 (350 cu in 430 hp Chevy Crate Motor) into a 75 Chevy Vega with a ZF 6 speed from a 94 Corvette. There is nothing more fun than driving a small car with too much horsepower and torque. Be careful in the rain. The torque will have you doing 360 degree spins from a start if you hit the throttle too hard. I did that too. This is a car you will need to respect. Oh and that grin on your face says it all, congratulations!

The fuel pump is supposed to have its own relay and wiring preferably you should trigger the pump on by activating the ground on the relay. Essentially. It would be hot all the time if you had the ground attached to chassis ground. But with stand-alone it can energize the coil in the relay through the ground signal it was wired originally too. Risk burning out the ecu wired that way

That throttle cable giving me some slight ptsd. On my last fox body, I tried to replace the sticky throttle cable with a lokar universal from the pepboys speed shop. It was cut to length with the end piece held onto the cable with set screws. I probably cut it a little short and took it for a first drive about 15 minutes away. On the way home, I got on it and it pulled out of the set screws. Stupid me brought no tools with me and my phone died as I tried to call my wife for a ride. I am proud of my mcguyver hand throttle I made out of the pararcord on my Keychain and some unused old speaker wire that I yanked out of the rocker panel

So I've been watching your channel and many others like it. I have taken inspiration and plan to launch my YT video making by the end of this year. My project, worlds fastest Pontiac Aztek! But wait there's more. I'm full frame swapping it, because the unibody is to damaged to repair, and I want rear wheel drive. Plus it makes it easier to drop a 6.0l LS in it and a supercharger. The thing most I dread is the wiring and engine management. I'm a street sweeper mechanic, I fabracobble bullshit together all day, everyday. The trucks we run very in age from last year to the f'n stoneage. I hope people will like my project and I have success like you. Thank you for your effort and inspiration.
