I built a ZOO in Minecraft because I was bored! Valhelsia 3!

I was bored - I mean really bored. So I began to play Valhelsia 3 Mod pack in Minecraft and it eventually resulted in a huge base with lots of cool gadgets. Then I began to see animals in the world, and I wanted them all to myself - so I built a Zoo! Here is the first look at the Zoo that I built so far featuring some very cool creatures from Alex's Mobs and other mod packs!
I also take a brief look into Mekanism, MineColonies, Refined Storage, and other fall Modpacks littered throughout.

Personally, I say restart. I often hit this wall too in Minecraft, where you're on a project and halfway through you realize how you should've done things. One of my biggest project was building a massive labrynth, but learning how to do traps and make it more fun halfway through. Instead of restarting, I just attached a second layer to it. What I ended up with was something I was only half proud of and really enjoyed. Plus, you'll always have the original zoo's world file and can go back to it if you change your mind. In the end it's really up to you though and what your drive is telling you to do. Either way, it'll be great :D

Great video about your Zoo! Now that you know how to build it from experience I would certainly suggest starting over. I've always had more fun rebuilding after finishing a prototype in Minecraft.

This is great, truly amazing with all the time and effort that you put into it. And I was present for a ton of it so seeing the ultimate progress is great. As far as suggestions I think if your gut is telling you to restart it then go for it. Yes you put a lot of work into this zoo, however now that you've learned what it takes to get to this point I would think it would be easier for you to get to the point where you are now. I'm excited to see more animals and more exhibits. I see it expanding even further, mayyybe an amusement park attached or a resort? or a safari type thing. I dunno this is where my head went with all this. Overall, dude, you have done amazing and I love it!

Restart! I've been there before, not quite happy with what you have but invested enough that you convince yourself to stick with it. Sometimes a fresh start, with some more pre-planning, is exactly what is needed.

Ok, now that I've gotten through this, first off... what a base! I caught bits and pieces of it via Twitch streams as you were working on this and man it's just as impressive each time I check it out. It defiantly has that 1.0 "vibe" to it as you mentioned, learning the mods, what your capable of, building off of what you have as you discover/think of it. I know that struggle. That being said you've done wonders with it Dizzy. Seeing anyone build bases makes me want to dive into a game and do the same, it's what got me going in DST. As for your question at the end, I'd say do it. Because it's going to bug you if you don't. Being able to re-plan things out, do a few things differently (and more efficiently) I think personally will help you keep designing things for the future. Plus you mentioned you wanted to shuffle around the designs a bit. So doing that would help with it. Either way you choose, can't wait to see what more you develop with this zoo build!

@@dizzydizaster Yeah, it always hurts restarting a world from scratch. But man, when you hit that same point in the future and everything's just *chef's kiss* it just makes you feel so much better.

I like the idea of restarting too, honestly. This one was a great learning experience and definitely don't delete the world, since it has so many hours of your time put into it. I would love to see what you can do with a new zoo now, with everything you've learned. It may be a bit painful to restart at the beginning, because you're so used to all of the items and advanced things you have, but it should also be a lot of fun. I saw a comment about taking ideas from real world zoos and I really dig that! It also made me think that maybe you could go into a sandbox mode in a game like Zoo Tycoon or something like that and map it all out on there, so you can see it and have a plan for your layout before you start to build it in Minecraft.

I think a restart would be smart. Additionally, maybe planning a good way to consistently view the animals. Like a viewing platform or mini hut house that is part of the exhibit. Taking references from real world zoos would be a great idea too!

Круто будет сделать зоопарк в джунглях, for example сделать большой treehouse на огромном дереве на котором будут вольеры с животными а внутри него всякий stuff типо, о! ещё можно сделать, что это дерево растёт на водоеме, в котором плавают акулы, и чтобы был tunnel под воду в котором удобно на них смотреть.

I’d choose to upgrade current map, but it’s also gonna limit your imagination. Another idea is starting over and coming back to this map and upgrading if you couldn’t build something more awesome that this super zoo-base. Don’t forget about your own opinion by the way) Do everything the way YOU feel it. That’s your own world and you can do whatever you want. I’m here to have fun, not to judge I gonna like any choice.
