Fun fact: the two guys you meet fighting the blob are the protagonists of the first game (The Forest), Eric and his son Timmy LeBlanc, which proves the ending in which we activate the obelisk to crash land a plane in the first game is canon.

the island seems to be a bretty good 3 seasons spot. Only weird thing is I saw babies dive into the water then crawl to the island, so not sure if they are aquatic or a bug

Hey great video! Just some more info I found that makes sense is the person you meet in the cube is actually Timmy from the first Forrest based on how he has an episode in the cube just like the end credits of the 1st game and the older person is actually the dad, the same character you portray in the first game. One of the books you pick up is the book he writes at the end of the 1st game telling the story of the 1st island. Atleast, that's what I believe anyway.

You have to stick sticks around the wall in winter and then sharpen them with an ax, it's a good cover for opponents. They can be reinforced with stones

actually your theory is pretty much spot on because this game is years after the events of the first game(forest) so they're really not much connection here aside from timmy the dude with a multiple versions of him at the ending and the old guy who yelled at timmy to "get down son" was the surivor of the 1st game.
