Caves are without a doubt the strongest place anyone can build a base in Rust and that’s why I’ve decided that it is the ideal location to construct an automated rocket factory. But what exactly does that mean? Well, except for the farming of resources to feed the system, it is possible to power and industrialise every step of the process of making rockets. From cooking sulfur, to crafting gunpowder, all the way to combining all the ingredients necessary to make rockets. It’s something that would no doubt draw the attention of anyone who realised what we were up to, and that’s why I’m doing it underground. There’s one, major problem with that though. It’s only possible to wire electricity to power the factory in 2 very specific cave types that sit close enough to the surface for the wire to reach. I was playing on wipe because I had to get the right cave, or my dream of an automated rocket factory would fall apart before I was even able to begin.

Hey Yexom, we play as a trio and always build in what we call Spiral cave. There’s actually 6 spots that can reach surface power. Both spots on sub level 4, all 3 spots on sub level 3 and both spots on sub level 2. The only spot that doesn’t reach ironically is the spot on sub level 1. If you ever want some tips and tricks on this cave, I’m the expert in the spiral cave system and I could help you with it. It’s extremely fun to live out of and a lot of people don’t know its secrets

Definitely my favourite cave, it's massive, so you can honeycomb it to hell (Normally have the bunker entrance on the jump up side though, easier to defend. And a turret pointing out from your entrance side would have screwed up the other guy...)

Honestly you can do it in any cave. Build a second base and compound above the cave, have wind turbines or solar panels fill up large batteries, then bring a full battery down to the cave and plug it in. Batteries hold their charge when picked up. I build an unraidable cave base (95 rocket minimum) where i couldn't wire up the turret because the cave was too deep. So i started filling up batteries and bringing them down. Im sure this setup requires less power than the base i had. 😂

7:45, Up side to having a Open Area is you can Line the Inside with Auto Turrets so that there is No where to Hide when they attack your Base.

yo yexom nice base but next time i suggest add peaks to your roof and YOU NEED downwards angles to the wood compound walls where they breach like a door with triangle roofs so you dont fall down would be the cheapest solution but you could do a offset peak or widegap 2 sides of the base

All levels except lv 1 can get power, the most op spot is lv 3 since you can put turrets and defend from the outside of the base and not be constrained like normal caves. Source: Me, the resident cave gremlin. Tho you need a proper design for it since the space is so limited. I made one its preety neet. Also barel dlc is a must.

Because it's an unfair fight when, even if you win it, getting the loot is impossible because it's on some dudes base, and you can't run from the fight because they have the high ground and will mow you down. Its also bitchy because they'll nine times out of ten shoot nakeds or low tiers recycling. It's efficient, its powerful and it's incredibly unfun to play against
