I dont know how many years now ive been watching Wiljums Rust vids.. i remember when his channel was still tiny, but as a solo playa myself, i loved his chill solo runs n vids.. also really helped me with my mindset as a solo in rust.. and he was like on a simular level to me.. but now!? ..he has gotten so gud eh.. he is so cracked actually, not just a cill solo anymore, but an actual chad! going solo and winning over 90% of his fights, fighting groups and winning often too.. as well as his chill solo play, and always new ideas and vids and strats for wipes, changing things up.. great stuff! so happy for him, that he is such a big successful Rust Playa now, and can live off playing rust. Last week I suggested combining fishing with vending machines to catch sharks and avoid having to take the risk of traveling to fishing village to sell them by selling them for less than they can be sold at fv (also doing this with fertilizer too) but fish traps seem like an even better option, as it’s less labor intensive. Seems like you could do this on force wipe and learn the whole tech tree quickly by acquiring just a vending machine.

u know one thing, thats so cool bout this method is.. even if u get wrecked, after roaming or going farming, and get killed and lose your kit.. you go back to base, and collect scrap/fish, to basically get new stuff.. or at least diminish the loss.. and feels alot better, after a death, having to spawn back at base, to collect your fish. you can actually kinda buy anything, if u got scrap.. specially on servers with vending maschine drones etc.. * even just regular fishing, can be fun.. fish to get geared, roam, if u die repeat etc.. real chill, with not much gear fear.. (i make a lil fishing hut, cheap lil stone 2x1, near fishing village with drones)

Some players call me a ✨Role Player✨but I refer to myself as a survival enthusiast. This strategy was shown to me by a buddy of me and when you pair this with farming teas, I feel like I’m playing a whole different game ya know? not getting caught up in the pvp chads and what not. This play style keeps me enjoying the game and quite frankly it’s the most fun way to play the game imo. Thank you for show casing this and maybe you could pair the two play strategies together and make a video on that! I’d love to see how your journey would go doing so! 😊

Saw another comment suggesting metal detector for hq, so here's my thought: - Fish trap for scrap - Metal detector for hq - Trade scrap for comps/bp for electicals, etc. - Electric furnace & pipes for auto-smelting - Sell excess scrap/frags for iron/sulfur - Auto-craft for boom - ??? - Profit Change the vending sales for whatever else you need. No clue how fast this could snowball, but once you get auto-smelting piping into vending I suspect it could go hard if implemented well.
