I will most likely do a followup video in the future regarding the knob because I am aware of it not looking as expected

U could have used signal rgb for the rgb
@Phunder2 күн бұрын
Actually signal rgb is the kind of thing I was aiming for with my software, however I did not know about it prior to your comment. Thanks, I might add the support for signal rgb once I make this project open source

Great! If you find any better way to make the knob or similar rubbery features then please share it here! not only for me but for others as well!
@AudisioOficiaI3 күн бұрын
@Phunder just buy the knob online
@Phunder3 күн бұрын
I did consider that but I will have to find one that fits the hole in my numpad or print a new top case

why not tear apart a cheap mouse and install the mouse board in the bottom of the 10-keypad..?
@Phunder4 күн бұрын
There are multiple reasons for that: 1. Those boards aren't usually easy to reprogram yourself once they're out of the factory 2. A keyboard needs a different set of Input/Output pins that will make connecting the switches, the LEDs and other things you might want to add possible, it depends on the exact device you want to build This video is not a tutorial, if you want to learn more on how a keyboard's internals work then search for "how does a mechanical keyboard work", "how does a switch matrix work" and whatever else you have doubts on

A lot of research and time spent on this and other projects, nonetheless if there is anything I missed or you think could be improved - please, leave it here so I can consider it in the future
