Hey, great question. That was on my previous desk and I really did like that feature of it. I essentially created a timber frame the whole length of the desk and then wrapped round a layer of quilt batting and then a layer of polyester vinyl (fake leather). The trickiest part was trying to sow together two parts of the vinyl to span the distance. Nearly broke the sowing machine 😬

Wow love it Stephen, a man after my own heart I think, it certainly pays to build a custom desk if you can - i see you use pocket fixings is it called to screw down back stand? Also what is the SSL desk there you have, is that midi controller or the full system T panel ?
