I remember my dad taking commissions to do small repairs and adjustments on people's rifles/pistols even though he was just a hobbyist. I asked why he did it and the man gave me such a serious look (out of character) and told me "People are willing to pay me hundreds of dollars for a few minutes of work because they don't bother to learn anything about their gun," then proceeded to try and convince my pre-teen self that it was a skill I should pick up. Instructions were unclear and now I'm an adult that's watching a grown man play a game where you pretend to fix pretend guns to make pretend money while making his own real money.
