I Built The PERFECT DIAMOND MINE! Let's Play Minecraft 1.20 - #2

What is going on friends!!! Today we are back on the brand new let's play world. The main objectives for today is to build a level 30 enchantment setup along with building a strip mine that goes the very bottom of the world. This mine will stop at every prime mining location for each of the ores in the game. In typical Tobefoxy fashion he can't just have a hole in the ground for an entrance. So he built a mine entrance with a tunnel that gives the illusion that it goes on forever.

Fortune on an axe is not so helpful, but you can harvest your crops and get more out of it, without loosing durability on it. Wheat and beetroots give you more seeds, potatoes and carrots and melons give you more crops. Also you can remove the leafs from the trees and get more saplings out of it. Espacially helpful at dark oak tree and jungle trees, which have a low dropping rate. But removing leafs looses durability on the axe - which the crops does not!

Main reason is melon because the axe is the right tool for the melon. For saplings you could use a hoe with fortune and for crops you can use anything. Not like specifically an axe

@@peterpumpkineater6928 the tool isn´t so important - the enchantment on it is what counts. You can do it with all tools with the same enchantment, it could take longer but it works (i.e. Silk touch on a pickaxe and you can break the bookshelfs without loosing it and getting only the books back. But it takes longer than with a axe - also you can use a fortune III pickaxe for only getting flints from gravel - instead with a fortune III shovel - and so on... ;-) )

@@ringi1970 i know. Still the only valid reason to put fortune on an axe is for Melons. They sell great. He was asking if there was any use to put fortune on an AXE. You just described what the enchantment does in general. Which wasn’t the question. I think he knows what fortune does in general. I don’t know which version it works but im pretty sure you can also just use the book without any tool. Or not anymore idk

Tip for finding treasure: when you see yourself under the X, open f3 and under coords there should be "block" so then walk around until it says 9 ~ 9 and then dig right down and the chest should be there

Fishing is a great way to pass time and get loot and experience! Note: You could have dug down a few more blocks so you might have gotten some enchanted books and other cool treasure while waiting. 😉

Tip for smoothing out those harsh angles on the ceiling - you can use trap doors like how you did with the arch in that room.

For the enchantment table light underneath you can put stained glass around it and have a redstone lamp underneath. I use it for my enchantment tables and it looks absolutely fantastic

Idk if you'll see this but for the future, if you're traveling and need more inventory space, there are the chest boats now that can be used. I find them super helpful when exploring. You just can't break the boat till you clear the chest out or else everything goes everywhere like breaking a normal chest, so if you're going from island to island it's a bit of a hassle to use.

Fortune is good for increasing the drops number from crops. It works on any tool. If it has Fortune, then the number of wheat, seeds, etc can double like mining ores.

For better enchantments you need 19 bookshelf to get to 38th level but you still need 30 lvls to enchant it and it still appears as 30 in the enchanting table

it is sorta a mod so maybe if u do a modded playthrough add the mod "moving elevators" its rlly good and you can customize the elevator to have a sick mineshaft in levels :)

I doubt you'll see this, but fortune does the same thing as a pick pickaxe w/ fortune. If you mine a tree, you will get extra logs, same w/ pumpkins and other stuff you use a axe for, hope this helped😅 Btw, W vids, ill definitely subscribe.
