As an English child growing up in Africa you learn a lot from the Africans and alot of what this lady is doing is very similar to what they did. When I moved to my new house a built a firm or green house for my plants. I built it on top of a huge concrete tank, the flat top was a floor and I built around wall with a door. I then made a thatch roof, this allowed rain water to enter so watering is kept to a minimum. I learnt a lot from the Africans of which I am forever grateful. 💖 My plants thrived.

Impressive and entertaining to watch. But it is funny how people think she is doing this all by herself. I bet she has a huge support staff that is doing all the busy work like cutting down trees, splitting bamboo, digging, etc. Then they film her doing a few things and edit and post. There are a bunch of channels on youtube like this, probably all controlled by the same people.

One monsoon and you'll have a nice cistern or swimming pool. I'd put a tarp on your roof poles. Raise edge around entrance, drainage ditch around perimeter.

I'm not sure what the definition of off grid living is but to me the location looks like it is on private property and within a reasonable walk of a kitchen where the meat and kebab was prepared. Without rain in the next day or two or the importation of some water that transplanted turf will soon die. Reminds me of a large hole I dug in my parents garden and covered with branches, plastic sheeting and then a top layer of earth. I was a child and it was a great place for an underground picnic before I went indoors for my supper and so to bed. I don't think that was off grid living.

Roblem is tkes a Year to build but smoke gives place Visibility in area,,,+ no vegation ,,chimney should come up un area back in the bush area breaking up the smoke before it clears the forest,,
