Im not gonna lie to you some of these clips are not meant to be inspirational. You do realize that the play Bricks was intended to downsides to that bitter mindset. His child hated him, his wife hated him, everyone hated him and he could pretend for all he wants that it didnt hurt him but it did and thats the message, you suffer when you bring everyone down around you like that. The episode with Fresh Prince showed that yes he was upset, yes he was mad, yeah he did all that without him but he broke because he wanted him to be there, he wanted him to care. I see the point of the contradictory videos, on one side is the father on the other is the child. They both suffer. Its what happens when you uphold a facade for so long. Allow yourself to relax.

Although just to add on the context, I wouldn’t compare your or my father to Denzel (or Troy) from Fences at all. I would compare him for this scene alone, but not of Troy as my dad’s character. I’ll skip the part about Black struggles since I’m no expert on it, but in general, he cut down his son’s dream of being a pro baseballer (which the play make it clear that he can win big and get scholarships for college) because he believes that black folks will never get far in life, so his son should stop wasting time on baseball, be pragmatic, and focus on a job at grocery store instead. Troy also cheated on his wife just to feel his youth again, which later confronted by his wife stated that not only him that wasted his life, but also her who, as a black women, had no choice but to marry him and hope that everything will work out. (Aka “To plant a seed deep inside Troy, and shove her personal feelings away, but notice later the soil from Troy was dry”)
