Well I live in southern oregon right now and there putting signs out telling u to not use water unless it is really needed because we are drying up just like u in cali. So in my opinion unless u know what ur talking about don't compare. I've lived in both places and I've been in both places when the fires came raging there and no it's not fun and it's very devastating. @cyndikarp33683 жыл бұрын
Yes, Chris has started Volvo on fire once, because his hose got hot. He got it put out quickly without to much damage.
@randalljames13 жыл бұрын
hydraulic hose will not melt .. but it can burn.. It is typically an inner liner, with reinforcement (stainless wire is common) along with elastomers or other materials to protect the insides.. fluid going through the hose actually provides some cooling help.. just do not want it left in extreme heat for extended periods .. fixed a lot of these over the years.. heat will degrade that outer cover over time

Chris, a pile of large stumps about the size of the big brush pile that sat for 2 or 3 years burned really nicely. just stumps nothing else and the flames were visible over the tops of the trees, Alders at 150 to 165 feet tall. Fire department got called and they wanted it put out. :( Only took me 10 minutes with garden hose to put it out though. The log end of the stumps averaged 3 feet in diameter. Our neighbour used his D9 to push the stumps into 2 piles from the 2 acres we had cleared.
