This LEGO Star Wars set is the most Controversial EVER... This is the Assault on Hoth lego star wars set which came out and was immediately called the worst lego star wars set ever and deemed extremely controversial. This set was later partially banned and removed from the LEGO Store since it was so controversial. BTW this was an extremely rare and expensive banned lego set so a like on the video would help lol.

I didn’t know the background story about this set and it kinda makes me wonder: what does Lego do when sets don’t sell. It seems like they had so many pieces they just put this out. When they pulled this from shelves - where do they go? Does Lego have massive industrial Lego sorting machines to just put these back into circulation?

It would have been a pretty nice set if it had more thought put into it's builds (that door looks like it would be a nightmare) and the amount of minifigures is quite generous compared to what they have been putting into sets just lately, but it looks very incomplete and rather messy. Great vid! You should check out some of the older Clone Wars sets, those seem to be the top tier star wars sets from that era. The minifigs in this one are definitely the highlight, but some of the builds are also really nice like the snowspeeder. I remember the box art from back in the day in the stores but I only ever got the old school Snowtrooper battle pack. Edit: grammar

Honestly I don’t know, if I had to guess I would maybe say the most controversial is the 3 year old goth collection where you set up various hoth targets like the ATATs the snow speeders, ect… and you then have this wimpy stud launcher that you use to try and hit those targets, but even if you do it is a miracle if you happen to knock it over (cause it is that weak and wimpy of a launcher)
