Great watch👍 air oil separator could be the oil issue. Jr garage do a lot of boxster content and 911. More importantly one with a bad air oil separator! Worth a watch.

When you fold the roof down only do it slightly, get out and make sure the screen is folding correctly, it’s got a tendency not to fold correctly. I used to put a lint towel in between the fold as the screen marks easily and tends to fog.

I had a 2002 Boxster S for about 4 years. Probably the best driving car I ever owned. But, lots of silly over engineered things like the microswitches in the doors, the security system, catalytic converters going bad, coolant overflow tank, IMS bearing concerns, check engine light loved to come on, and just other high dollar items that on a normal car would be nothing. I called it a mini super car. Finally sold it and bought an old C3 corvette which I can actually afford to repair.

Gear cables a common fault / snap / seize. Get it jacked up easier to access engine / box, and you can see where they connect. Before you go much further worth pulling and inspecting all the plugs and see if engine will hand turn. Oil in airbox could be from a failed air oil separator either current or past, including oil overfill that wasn’t fully cleaned up.

this box is the alarm circuit, it has to be coded with the ECU in order to get the car running, you can send the old one to extract the data, I mean the immobilizer code , to the new one to someone who has the knowledge of that operation The gear box cables are visible from underneath. And you must put the top roof in maintenance position to access the top of the engine from outside, see the user manual for that

Bought a new guards red 2.5 in 1997, loved it, always liked speed yellow, still do, JR Garage have been buying auction Boxsters for a while, they’re not very hands on but some of their videos will show you a few tips. I sold mine for more than I paid for it new after 18 months so never had to work on it but I’d love to get my hands on one like this now. I’m hoping the IMS is good and you should expect the rear main seal to be leaking. A lot of the other maintenance stuff underneath is the same as the 911/996 a good source of info is Friends Green Porsche on here. Good luck, I’m subbed and looking forward with my fingers crossed for you. Unusual to see an honest water line👍.

Looks like a rare car in speed yellow. The original owner has paid extra for the white dials and the yellow contrast stitching. There should be a sticker under the frunk in white listing all the build codes including if it was built in Finland or5 Stuttgart. Think all of the 3.2s may have been built I. Stuttgart. From memory there is a V if if it is Finland and a s for Stuttgart.

Isopropanol, flux, a hot air station, a brush, solder, solder iron might rescue that module, only alcohol does not do the trick bassicly it should be under a microscope and those covers removed from those relais, Rice you only can try once a mobile gets under water and you put in in rice within minutes not a year later, whille Rice bassicly does not work for certain......for a 300,- module i would have thought you would try some more and once you have all the tools you,ll never regret buying them......

Hi, the expansion tanks are a very brittle plastic and often fail at the side nearest the quarter, the tank is a nightmare to change due to hose clamps at the engine side bulk head. The BCM are under the seat and fail with water ingress even on non flood damaged cars, due to leaves and such blocking the drains

Thank you for the information on the expansion tank. Appreciated
