Probably, many people have a desire to redo something in their home. It’s the same for me. If earlier there was one style to your taste, then over the years you want to change.
At first I liked everything beige and brown. The whole house was in these colors. Over time, I got so tired of it that I simply could not look at this color. I tore everything off, put it away and replaced it with a light, white, delicate one. I still like it all, but I’m changing and redoing some things. Monotony is our main enemy!
This metal planter urgently needs to be slightly remodeled for the new kitchen. It will be in this color, but the style is different and will move from the living room to the kitchen. I will store it in it... I haven’t decided what yet.
- To do this, I repainted the flower pots with white spray paint. I was painting in the garage, but it was very cold, and the paint shrunk in some places. Now I know for sure that you can’t paint at low temperatures.
- After the roughness had completely dried, I rubbed it with fine sandpaper and painted it again in the house. The surface became smooth, but not quite even. But all this added an aged look.
- For decoration I will use an adhesive stencil. From all the variety that I have, I chose a hare, I am not indifferent to it, especially since there are many figurines and dishes with this animal in the closet.
- I will paint it with black acrylic paint. It is odorless, dries quickly and lasts well.
- I attached the stencil, took a foam sponge brush and applied the paint like a swab.
- Then I used a brush to apply black paint to the rim of the flowerpot.
- As a result, the delicate pattern has changed into a vintage farmhouse style.
- It looks like white enamel. For now I keep kitchen towels in it.
If you want change and change, start with the smallest things at the least cost. For example, sew a new curtain, pillow, or remake a flower pot. As a result, you will receive new interior items.
