Thankfully because it is “island of eternal spring” everything is relevant all year around. You might get a rainy day or a cloudy day but everything is still possible, don’t worry! It’s rare the weather is bad on the entire island. The jeep tour is definitely worth it (check my video on that) but I’ll try and put something together for a rainy day video

I arrived in madeira a week ago having done the Fisherman's Trail in Portugal. Chilling for a bit before going out on the levadas. If you see someone around who looks like your older brother, it's probably me! On weight/fitness/travelling my lifesaver has been calisthenics or bodyweight exercises. You can carry a resistance band whilst travelling or wear your backpack whilst doing squats, lunges, pushups etc. 40 minute workout and you can eat whatever you like mate.

Hi Joe, Great video! Of course when in Madeira food has to be involved as there are many places to eat, and enjoy great food, but Madeira is now also known for amazing hikes, at the top like Pico do Arieiro or Pico Ruivo or at the bottom like San Lourenco Point… You could probably do a Levada hike a week in Madeira and that will cover 6 months of content!!.. How about a video of a day trip to Porto Santo, or a video of the British influence on the history of Madeira wine (Blandy wine)…Like you said enjoying traveling has to have food and some drinking involved that’s how we found you, but we also like the traveling and exploring, so we think you’l do well with the traveling/exploring content and therefore be more successful as well. It’s going to be a great 2025!… Looking forward to your videos!:)

@ The first 3 days are intense while your body goes in to ketosis. Electrolytes are essential so Celtic salt in water. Green tea and black coffee. Although I’m going to cut coffee out on the next one as it’s pretty acidic on the body especially on an empty stomach. After 3 days the hunger gets easier. Senses are heightened. You’ll smell a poncha a mile off! 😂 Mental quality increases. Body inflammation reduces. Old cells break down. On the 5th days I felt incredible. You have to go easy when breaking the fast. Light foods like fruits, broths etc. so many health benefits to fasting. We all need to give our body’s a break now and again. It’s been about 6 months since my last one. I’m going to try a 6/7 day one tomorrow. Defo have to catch up mate. Need some tips on the vlogging. We want to video the house reno.

If you are so passionate about Madeira, I am all ears and eyes. Yes, fasting is the key for not only weight loss, but better mental clarity. Better for your body since no insulin released during those missed meals and gets your body to burn body fat for energy 👍. I only eat once a day ( one meal a day) usually dinner for the past 2 years.

Good evening! I want to tell you that you are happy to live on this extraordinary island, which has a fantastic climate and no less fantastic people. Thank you very much for this video, in which you try to be a little different, I liked it. Then, we all have this problem with excess weight after Christmas meals and winter holidays, to be honest. I was in Madeira in the fall of 2023 and recently in December, I am in love with this island and I recommend it to everyone. Here is my question: could you recommend some accessible levadas from Funchal for walks of about 4-5 hours for those who do not want to travel too far from the city? Preferably accessible by public transport. I am a solo traveler and do not drive a car, so your advice would help me, and maybe others as well. By the way, I know a beautiful route: walking from Camara de Lobos back to Funchal. Thank you in advance. Sorry for my English (google translate).

4-5 hours covers a lot of the levadas, so you ar good with that and the buses go to many places too, especially the popular ones like PR8 Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço. One I have tried recently is PR10 Levada do Furado - Ribeiro Frio - Portela. You can catch the bus to Ribeiro Frio, even do PR11 first, and then walk PR10 to Portela, and catch the bus back to Funchal

For some reason your request for ideas on future content keeps cropping into my mind. Something useful might be alternative places to stay other than AirBnB given all the bad stuff you hear about the impact it’s having, so championing that might be useful. Having a look at the various standards of hotels in an area and what you get for your money would be good. There wasn’t much on Funchal for that. So championing tourism that’s beneficial to local communities. Just an idea.
