I like the foreshadowing in Clamu's movements. She doesn't start crying right when the peanut hits her, but after she looks around. It reads like she's saying "Huh? What was that? Wait, where's my egg? OH MY GOD MY BABY'S MISSING!"

Foreshadowing when Clamu does not cry instantly after the peanut has been thrown at her; she frantically starts searching around her enclosure before bawling. This is a hint that the peanut is not what is making her cry, and that something of hers is missing.

Lol SpongeBob has so far been running for 24 years since 1999, so if we half that then it's twelfth year would be 2011. pearls IRL are grains of sand that the oysters coat in the same stuff they coat their shells in. since the oysters cant dislodge the grain of sand and it's annoying them the best next thing is to make it smooth and not itchy. Imagine if every time you got a splinter you couldn't pull out, instead of an abscess forming to contain the foreign object our bodies coated the splinter in enamel and after a couple weeks a shiny rock popped out. xD

From Google: 7 differences between Clams and Oysters: Taxonomy: Both clams and oysters are members of the phylum Mollusca, order Bivalvia. However, that’s where their similarities end and their differences begin. Clams are members of the family Veneridae and oysters, Ostreidae. Types: Both clams and oysters generally have two types, aside from edible and non-edible species. Whereas clams are divided into hard shell and soft shell, oysters are divided into true and pearl species. Habitat: There is some overlap in the locations of clams and oysters. Both can live in saltwater or freshwater. However, oysters are more commonly found in saltwater. Another one of their differences is in how they live. Clams live buried in the ocean floor and oysters live attached to rocks or other oysters. Body: There is some overlap in the size of clams and oysters from the smallest to the largest species. Both have pale white to tan meat. Also, they can have different colors and even different shapes, such as razor clams. It’s the texture of the shells that make for the easiest identification between them. Clam shells are exfoliated by the sand they bury themselves in, so they are smooth. Oyster shells are rough and bumpy with wavy lines. Taste/texture: Similarities in taste between clams and oysters are greatest if they are both saltwater or freshwater species. Hence, it’s the texture where the biggest differences lie and make for easy identification. Clams are chewy, but oysters are tender and can be slurped down. Clams tend to have a saltier flavor than oysters, and the taste can be very strong. Oysters, on the other hand, are often described as having a sweeter, almost buttery flavor. Nutrients: Both clams and oysters are low in calories and fat and excellent sources of protein, vitamin B12, zinc, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. But whereas clams are rich in vitamin C, manganese, selenium and iron, oysters are rich in zinc, potassium, and phosphorus. These differences also account for their taste. Cooking: Oysters and clams can be cooked in many different ways or eaten raw. It’s how they are eaten that most distinguishes them. Although people can eat both oysters and clams raw, it’s far more common to eat oysters raw. Also, while raw oysters can be eaten with or without cocktail sauce, the sauce is necessary for eating raw clams. It’s also far more common to have clams in meals with other ingredients, such as clam chowder, or even with other seafood, such as paella. Oysters are often eat by themselves and as a luxury dish or appetizer, such as oyster shots. As for the pearl: All shelled mollusks can, by natural processes, produce some kind of "pearl" when an irritating microscopic object becomes trapped within its mantle folds, but the great majority of these "pearls" are not valued as gemstones. Nacreous pearls, the best-known and most commercially significant, are primarily produced by two groups of molluskan bivalves or clams. A nacreous pearl is made from layers of nacre, by the same living process as is used in the secretion of the mother of pearl which lines the shell. Natural (or wild) pearls, formed without human intervention, are very rare. Many hundreds of pearl oysters or mussels must be gathered and opened, and thus killed, to find even one wild pearl; for many centuries, this was the only way pearls were obtained, and why pearls fetched such extraordinary prices in the past. Cultured pearls are formed in pearl farms, using human intervention as well as natural processes. One family of nacreous pearl bivalves - the pearl oyster - lives in the sea, while the other - a very different group of bivalves - lives in freshwater; these are the river mussels such as the freshwater pearl mussel. Saltwater pearls can grow in several species of marine pearl oysters in the family Pteriidae. Freshwater pearls grow within certain (but by no means all) species of freshwater mussels in the order Unionida, the families Unionidae and Margaritiferidae.

Yeah, but the fact that there are only boy sea creatures on their side, whereas Sandy is the only girl representing land creatures, makes it feel like this episode is swinging in a specific direction. Especially that back-and-forth dialogue between SpongeBob and Sandy with the way he said she’s got some pretty good moves, for a Squirrel. And the way that Sandy said “Squirrels can do anything they want to”. Just replace squirrel with girl, and it basically becomes what you would expect.

To answer the pearl question, pearls are actually the result of when something like a grain of sand or a parasite finds its way inside the clam. To defend itself the clam incases it in a white substance that later hardens to create a pearl. On the reproduction part, Class do lay eggs but are very very tiny and drift through the current to hatch and mature in different parts of the ocean

Clams and oysters release sperm and egg into the tide that mix together when they meet to fertilize the eggs. Pearls are formed when something like a grain of sand or a piece of a shell or something get inside the shell. Their body produces a secretion that flows over the substance and hardens to help dislodge it. Those are what form pearls. They don't get dislodged right away though, so more and more layers of secretion make the pearls bigger and bigger.

SpongeBob is a sea sponge, despite his shape. Though, to be fair, it’s not impossible for a sea sponge to have SpongeBob’s shape, while unlikely. Speaking of misconceptions, Squidward, despite his name, is an octopus. I know, it’s confusing, but it’s been stated in multiple new age episodes. And, say what you will about them, they have been trying to keep consistency. And, I mean, Octoward does NOT roll off the tongue.

There are a bunch of "girl vs boy" episodes in cartoons where the entire episode the guys are uncharacteristically sexist towards girls and by the end, it's decided that "girls rule boys drool". Spongebob did it best by veiling it in "sea creatures vs land creatures" AND by having it be both parties are good at some stuff but not everything.

I laughed so hard when Patrock said the iconic line "Sandy's a girl?!" Same thing when people dont know if Samus from metroid games is a boy or a girl & finally when they realized it they'll be like... "Samus is a girl?!"
