This is a very special video and song to me. I've been battling AIDS for 23 years. I was unknowingly infected with AIDS when I was a research subject in a lab study in 1997. The researcher running the lab is a very unethical, corrupt scientist. God has blessed me for the last 23 years with extraordinary miracles and physical strength to fulfill the assignment He has given me on this earth. Dan Hartman was a true musical genius in the 1970's and 1980's. Unfortunately he caught HIV early in the epidemic and he suffered a long and lonely path until he passed away in 1994 from an AIDS-related tumor. He never married, never had children and he never sought medical treatment for HIV. He kept his HIV status secret until he died at his parents home in Connecticut in 1994. He wrote and performed the song I Can Dream About You which was his last top ten hit in 1984. The awesome Hindley Street Country Club beautifully recaptures the essence and creative genius of Dan Hartman in their perfectly crafted performance of I Can Dream About You. 🙏😇🙏

I sincerely hope you see this, but I'm sending positive thoughts/prayers to you, Mr. Hartline. You wrote a beautiful tribute to Dan Hartman; I had no idea this talented and beautiful man contracted this demon disease and spent his last years alone, how tragic. I agree, this is one of the absolute best covers I have ever heard - Daniel Lopresto in particular, but the entire band (the two women are incredible, as is the bass player - literally ALL OF THEM)! They are the epitome of joy through music - and that makes it so much more enjoyable for the audience! Dan must be smiling from above.

Here Danny Lopresto from HSCC gives another remarkable performance singing the lyrics so clearly we can understand each word of the song.
