That's why this government free education must be protected and not play politics with it. When you have young men and women going into sectors like farming, fitting jobs, and local transport businesses, they are bound to be successful. These are jobs that have traditionally been left for uneducated to handle over the years.

There’s no price control mechanism..thats the problem here in Ghana
@franciskwofie67544 ай бұрын
Price control does not work anywhere. Price control is the maximum price one can sell. How could you determine the maximum price that I should sell. People will run away from the business.
@1Grace3654 ай бұрын
We are so doomed to think inside the box..i have been to almost five different countries and i can tell you for a fact that the government has their own products on market which are way cheaper for the average citizen to counter attack hideous pricing of goods and commodities. Additionally,there is a price limit to which goods can sell per kg and most wholesalers know about this. If it normalized in our country to take prices into our hands doesn't mean it happens like that everywhere
@franciskwofie67544 ай бұрын
@@1Grace365 of the government buy goods and sell at a certain price, is that price control.
@franciskwofie67544 ай бұрын
@@1Grace365 yes, the state can buy produce and distribute them at a price. That is not price control. You want the state to determine how much a kilo of rice at cape coast should be sold? We have companies like fan ice that have set standardized price but even that people decide to sell at high prices. When the state is buying from the producers, then fine. If the state is not buying from the producers but will sit and determine the highest price that someone to be paid for his produce then it will discourage people. Unless of course the set price is higher than what the producer would ordinarily sell the product for. Let that state decide to set prices for products and for housing, people will not produce and build houses
@1Grace3654 ай бұрын
@@franciskwofie6754 of course , per what I said the state would buy from producers and additionally if the state is willing they can roll out a plan to favor everyone at the end of the day just as how treat cocoa

DJ im in Canada, what this guy is saying are true but what i disagree is blaming the whites. Our leaders are just block headed. Whites are not bad as our peoples potray. We just don't know what to do. Black man is actually born bad. Someone put fire in my 100 acres mango farm just like that in December last year. Because of people, farming is too risky in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

30 acres of maize is too much for a beginner. Start 5 acres and plant pioneer or pannar maize hybrid variety and do all the agronomic practices, weeds control, fertilizer applications and pest control and you can harvest 20bags of 100kg on each acre.

I agree with most of the things you talk about, but not given the farmers their money for the month and only give them a month in lieu is not ethical, its against employment law. I hope you're learning as well. The best for you to do is find good workers and your work as a CEO or Owner is to answer the question is How to find the right people? I have a far more bigger farm than you do and that's what I do and it works. Lets not enslave our own.

DJ thanks so much for the show. Thank you my brother. Pricing is the major cost of Agriculture in ghana. All we need the government to do is standardization of price or units of measurement of every agric produce. It is sad to finish production and someone who don't know your cost of production to determine the price for you. After this we can talk about storage and preservation. Hmmm it's sad 😢

Obroni does not put a gun to our head not to learn or choose designer clothes instead working hard. So its all up to us. If you have a population that only want's easy money that comes without working or only want to flex in designer and shinny things, then you have a primitive society not matter what degrees they have.
