Daboll was a small part of Allen’s success. A ton of credit goes to Jordan Palmer and his staff getting his mechanics right and his footwork was a major part of Allen’s leap. Coming from a Bills fan Giants got sucked into Allen’s success as well as Buffalos success and thought Daboll could replicate that.

Yeah teh thing that wasn't focused on enough with Josh was his up-and-down play was really only due to mechanics. He wasn't making poor reads. I mean, we're a different fan base, so didn't totally know what Josh Allen's issues were. Daboll is a good OC, but the more I watch him call plays, the more I'm like... ehh.... Josh Allen's success was really due to Josh Allen and his personal QB coaches'.

Does anyone recall when Chuck Daly coached the Dream Team? He threw a practice game against the college amateur players in order to get what he wanted. He did it in a way that they didn’t notice the Tank job. Seeing how the 2021 5 games losing streak with Jones and Barkley looked similar to this year, I see the Daly Chess Move.

Daniel Jones was not a bridge quarterback. If he had been, the Giants would have drafted a quarterback. What clearly demonstrates that Schoen is brain dead is that he made no attempt to trade Jones, just as he made no attempt to trade Barkley. Getting nothing for Barkley is a fireable offense. Releasing Jones made no sense from a Giants perspective. No doubt Schoen released Jones to give him an opportunity to somewhat control which team he next joins. But Schoen didn't owe Jones that. Jones was well compensated for his limited contribution to the Giants. Trade him and get an asset in return.
