Great to hear. Yes I’ve found at the markets if you have a real catchy tune or lick, play that when they are walking past. Some turn straight into your stall, others you see there heads turn and ears prick up and they will walk to the next stall or a bit further on and then stop and listen. You will then see those same people do laps past your stall and eventually the radius gets smaller and they will enter. It’s fun to watch the different personalities.

To stop a crowd and get people to come buy CBGs, learn music in several genres. People want to hear the type of music they like and want to play. I love the old blues stuff, but most people don't. You need rock, blues, country, folk, and religious tunes that are very recognizable. I sell about 2 CBG per day at farmer's markets and flea markets. Average about $125 each. I have much higher end guitars too, but they are usually sold at music festivals.

Thumbs up just on the content decision and announcement at the beginning of the video! That left me wishing I could re-thumb the song lesson though. I already play this song but really interesting to see it taught slightly differently to how I play it. Think I might amalgamate variants of your way with parts of how I already play it. Thanks and great to see you’re already playing this song. I believe this is what it’s all about. Learn a little bit here and there and put it all together and voila. People like to see a song they know with your twist to it. I’ve often had people say I like what you’ve done to that song. People want to have fun and enjoy themselves. Only 1% want note for note perfect and they will criticise anyway. David

Firstly thanks. It’s good to know you’re enjoying the lessons. The action of a slide guitar needs to be high especially if the guitar is fretted. Otherwise your slide will knock along the neck and frets. My cbg’s are about 12mm or half an inch high on the strings. The strings I use are D’Addario and are light gauge .009 - .042. Then I use the A D and G strings if I’m playing in the G or A tunings. I use the EA and D strings if playing in the lower tunings of E D or F. Luckily for me I have a lot of cbg’s so I have multiple tunings. The scale I use is 25 and a half inches or 647mm. That distance is between the nut (at the top) and the bridge (bottom). My amp settings is a Marshall sound through a chorus effect. These sounds are built into my peavey amp. I hope this helps and please contact me for further information. Suggestion: When you start your video play a verse, chorus, and bridge straight through then start the lesson. This give sort of a heads up as to what we are trying to accomplish I have heard of most of the songs you do. I love the old blues. But sometimes it is hard to get the rhythm and timing of a song only hearing it in bits and pieces. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Bart for your suggestions. What I try to do is break the song down first and have the song at the end after you have practiced the individual sections. On my analytics of my account people are only staying around 2mins so am pumping the info into there. I’ll see how it goes David
