Great interview! Laurie Metcalf is so underrated as an actor even though she has tons of awards and nominations! I first saw her in Internal Affairs and have been a fan ever since. And love her as Mrs. Loomis. Joe Mantello I only recently became aware of in AHS: NYC and he was brilliant. I would love to visit the Steppenwolf to see their immense talent showcased!

It's hard to tell if Nancy Loomis was more evil than her son Billy or If her husband's affair with Sidney's mom and Billy's death pushed her into the brink of madness or maybe she taught her son to take out all your anger on innocent people and kill them with a mask and a knife who knows I don't think even Laurie Metcalf or any actors in the Scream movies or even director's know.

I don't think she has a fear of cameras, she has a fear of a camera falling on her when she is lying on her back and being filmed from above. Accidents happen. A) while OG Roseanne 1.0 put her on a national stage she was well known in the theater world and had already been in films. B) I don't think she has ever specifically condemned Roseanne the woman while at the same time NOT praising her actions/choices so I don't get what you call a betrayal. The show employs more than just the handful of people on screen and Sara saved their jobs for six seasons and got to finish the story of that family which is why they were all there to begin with..no matter what (Ambien tainted) delusions Roseanne tries to paint it as.

Laurie Metcalf was sensational in Scream 2, and to this day, she is my favourite Ghostface. Her motive was so sincere, "good old fashioned revenge" fuelled by the loss of her child. Losing a child is something that can only be understood by those that have experienced it, and even a group of people that have lost children will have all felt it differently. It is such an isolating, unnatural, harrowing experience that makes the mind and body do things it couldn't comprehend before. She is the only Ghostface I can fully sympathise with, and while two wrongs don't make a right, I genuinely feel sorry for Mrs Loomis, and fully understand why she is doing what she is doing. Between the rage and the vengeance throughout her performance you can see and feel her pain and grief leaking out, she can't even hold her heartbreak back whilst doing such unthinkable things. Laurie plays this so well, and every time I watch Scream 2 I kinda wanna hug her? You can feel how much she feels her actions will put everything right, how much she wants her son back. It's an exceptional performance, I cannot fault her!
