The reason some just lates are still being pulled is that they are insanely inside, which means a well timed hit would be right down the line while the swing is just late, which makes it go more towards the gap. A late swing would go oppo and then too late obviously would miss

Yeah but this would happen mostly on opposite side pitchers I would think ? For example lefty throwing to a righty the angle of the bat being just late would cause the pitch to be sent pulled down the line.

Nah I think you have this backwards. Just late should be the ideal swing for an outside pitch. If anything the timing windows should skew the other way on overly inside pitches. Early becomes Just Early, Just early -> Early Good, Early Good -> Perfect, ect. I actually think the variable timing window is something they said they added in ‘21 although I’ve never actually seen it play out.

@@ItsDJOBie That's not how the game works. I get what you're saying but the game registers the location of the pitch with the timing. As you are saying a just late swing on an outside pitch is good but if you do that, it will be considered perfect timing whereas a late swing will get fouled off

I hate guys like this that won’t quit when they’re getting demolished in the 6th-7th inning… I was playing a guy yesterday and was up 9-0 in the 8th, and he had 1 hit that was lucky because trouts reaction is dog shit and blew my first perfect game online. And even when I went up 11-0 in the top of the 9th he just still wouldn’t quit… why waste both of our time, when you can be in another game You have a chance to win and same for me. I get the not wanting to quit or anything can happen mentality, but cmon. At some point…
