That is the Pier in Daytona Beach in the mid 90's (I think this video was shot in 1999) before Hurricane Floyd took out 1/3 of the pier. They are riding their scooters going south down A1A in Daytona Beach Shores. How do I know? I used to vacation every year here in the 90's and now I live here in Daytona Beach area.

Certainly was, I’m one of the gals in this and was good friends with them, did a couple of videos with them back then. Recently went back to Daytona and it’s changed so much from back when we did this! I always remember the kart track which was up on a roof for some reason not sure why they didn’t film the one on the boardwalk... and riding the gondolas a lot very drunk! Bro & sis band from Toronto (my city), one of the BEST 1 hit wonders ever... he wrote song, kept it under his bed for 6 months, then finally discovered there was interest by a production company... they were offered $100k to shoot a video, they gathered their friends & shot it at Daytona Beach, Fla... they spent a GOOD chunk of that money on booze & were hungover & late every morning for shooting the vid... this was the beginning & end of them, lol, but hey, they had a blast & came up with an everlasting smash hit ;)

That's Santa Monica pier. It's famously used in movies and videos...with a small carnival type of rollercoasters ON the pier. There used to be this historical axtive enormous merry-go-round there as well. My husband and I would hit the Pier or 3rd St Promenade (no cars/bikes) tons of restaurants and cool shops for a cheap, fun, date (until he tells you that he gets motion sick at heights and almost pukes down your back, trying to keep it together).
