Because of the split from Natsume a few years back some of the names had to be changed since Natsume came up with the names when translating the game from Japanese. Thus Muffy is now Molly, Forget-Me-Not Valley is now Forgotten Valley and so on. I prefer the name Muffy too, but this isn't the first time they've had to make changes to names.

It didn't necessarily have to be changed, but they just elected to go with names/translations that are closer to the original Japanese names, generally speaking. (Like "Masshu" becoming Matthew).

Gosh, your excitement is infectious! This remake has completely consumed my life since its announcement, and knowing there are other fans out there just as enthused is thrilling. Realizing Cody was a bachelor, but one that had been twunkified was SUCH whiplash for me. Like, my boy is finally eligible? but is also?? no longer the boy i knew and loved and wanted to woo??? A lot of mixed emotions on that one. Anywho, I cannot wait to see more of your content about this and other similar games in the future!

They allow you to make your own character, many hair colors and styles. You can change your hair after basic creation. You can find the screenshots floating on the official website/reddit and more. Children can be boys or girls, though I wonder how they're going to do it. Something I wish I had was more time, bonus years like a Honeymoon year before you have a kid, just you and your spouse on the farm. Making a bit more money and seeing yourself/wife prepare for a baby. Creating the nursery or just watching/enjoying your spouse help on the farm.

A Wonderful Life is the very first Harvest moon I've ever played. My cousins bought it and use my family's PS2, they left their games in my house and I played them. There's just so much charm in it, I feel so free and relaxed when I play it. Sure my first attempt ended in tragedy (PS2's fodders are so hard. The Good Fodder I bought is stupid expensive and didn't even fill my cows, wtf) but my second attempt is decent. If I ever get rich, the first thing I'd do is get a gamecube and play this there too.

from what i have seen so far about it you will be able to change your hair style and cloths and can marry same gender you can also play as non binary i hope we can also change the skin tones as well

Maybe if we're lucky, he'll get his old design back with some mods on PC. Then again, Marvelous encrypts all their games in a way that makes modding extremely difficult... RIP.

I cannot remember which KZbinr revealed it, but Tartan and his crop-hybridizing mayhem will be back too! Looking forward to seeing whether the resulting crops get a glow-up or redesign in this remake, tbh. I feel you on the Ooblets love, but am going to wait for my physical copy to arrive at my doorstep to get neck-deep in said game. Also, I'm gonna be grabbing up the Rune Factory 3 Special in physical format...and am seriously intrigued as well as excited for the other Rune Factory title the devs hint-dropped in the direct! Seriously, us farming/life sim lovers about to be living our best lives, and I 'm pumped for it all!

8:40 eased my worries. I really, really hope that they go for the GameCube version and not the train wreck Ps2 version. The pic there shows the fodder field with lots of wheat and so hopefully we don't have to plant fertilizer like the Ps2 version. I've been playing the GameCube version for about 20 years now. I never could get into the Ps2 version cause of the fertilizer theme, horrible tech problems, and also the big crop field was hidden behind a paywall in the Ps2 version. I'll definitely be buying this for sure, but probably not Day 1 as I'd need to see reviews and what they've added/changed. This too made my night when I saw it on the direct. I had a similar reaction with saying out loud "Oh my God"

they made "Another Wonderful Life" to be the same way as the ps2 vers; which is the version i played the most growing up (w/ the crop field paywall, fertilizing the fodder, etc.) and honestly, it was frustrating and confusing as a kid... however, even if they do implement these in this game, it'll definitely be a lot easier and faster than it was in the old installment, for sure !! everything took so long in the old version!!

@@linneaamaryllis IKR! As a nonbinary person myself I love that! I can't wait I mean they say they're adding 70 new character interactions and from the look of it revamped festivals as well! I can't even! I was screaming when this came up and my sibling ran in (also nonbinary) and we both proceeded to lose it!
