I can't believe this is Europe! - Geothermal Wonderland
We cruised around the Azores exploring the islands geothermal wonders. I hurt my back while surfing the previous day so this was the perfect occasion to get out of the water and do some sight seeing. We finished our day with a relaxing soak in the hot springs right in the middle of the rainforest! What a day! My back is doing great now and I have been able to surf. New videos coming soon!

If this is the first time you see one of my videos I would like to introduce myself and welcome you to my channel! Here you will find backpacking videos on how to travel the world continuously as a digital nomad. I promise a lot of adventures and fun as well as practical tips on how to stay on the road for longer.
My name is Duarte de Zoeten, I am a digital nomad a backpacker and a travel vlogger. I first started solo travelling almost two years ago now. On that first trip backpacking alone around New Zealand, Indonesia and Thailand, I discovered I have an insatiable wanderlust bug. The freedom and adventure had a huge effect on me. Soon, I started to wonder how to travel non-stop. Permanent travel, as they call it, was for me an impossible dream reserved only for the luckiest and most successful travel blogger. People who are location independent and can travel to all countries in the world seemed like a thing from another galaxy.
After living a semi-nomadic lifestyle (no more than 4 months in the same place) in the Netherlands, London, Lisbon and New York I decided to take it to the next level and quit my job to travel. Becoming a digital nomad is not as difficult as it seems, all you need is to be persistent and before you know it you travel permanently around the world. My approach now is to freelance and travel continuously and most of the times travelling alone as it frees me in a way that only a solo traveller will know.
I have decided to start a daily travel blog or travel vlog on how travelling continuously can be a reality for everyone. Travel nonstop, become the backpacker who wants to travel all countries in the world and become nomad to enjoy the ultimate freedom reserved only to those willing to break from the dullness of certainty and a 9 to 5 job.

THe flowers are hidranjas and came from Minho , North of Continental Portugal.We, Portuguese, took the Hidranjas and many other things like TEMPURA(Peixinhos-da-Horta) to Japan, too.

As a Azorean. Well that is not Portugal. That is the Azores :) well you can say its "Portugal" but its his own thing in a way, with its own identity and even goverment, despite being part of the portuguese republic, its the only region of "Portugal" that has its own autonomy, flag, parlament etc with Madeira. Not to mention, they are islands. And great video Wandering Parrot glad you enjoyed our island, nice time, if you try termal water pools, try dona beja, is more warmer and more "modern" :).

+João Silva Wow I did not that Azoreans feel that they are not part of Portugal. I mean it's a region with its own cultural specificities, typical dishes, accent and so on. But that's no difference from what happens in any region of continental Portugal anyway. The only actual difference with here is that Azores actually have a regional government of their own and as Azores are islands they're quite isolated from the rest of the country (and both of it applies for Madeira too) but I honestly have always felt that Azores are as Portuguese as Alentejo, Algarve, Nothern Portugal... Well maybe the Portuguese media ignores the islands a bit (i mean a lot) and maybe some people usually tends to forget about them, but nobody actually feels their not part of Portugal. And I actually love Azores. My mother studied there at college in São Miguel and I've been there for a couple of times in 4 different islands and I loved it and will surely go back there many more times in the future. And not all feel the same. have heard alot of stupid, mean and ignorant stuff in my life about us from people over there. And well we feel we are part of Portugal. But its not the same way, we have our own things going on in here besides, diference of treatement during history made sure of it. For a long time we Azoreans have our own identity (as the land itself, which is diferent then Portugal). So yah, not saying the people dont feel Portuguese (despite there is a minority that wants to stay away from that). But we have our own identity, which we call Açorianidade. Still doesnt mean the majority doesnt feel portuguese :) but we like having our own identity also. Abraços de São Miguel nos Açores ;)

Nice video, bruv !! Never been in Azores but have a auntie there ( normally she's the one that use to visit us at the mainland ). Glad you like it and despite what +Joao Silva says that is Portugal. They can dispute whatever they want about they independence but they get millions from the mainland goverment more than any other region. But politics apart...great video !! Try Ericeira, baleal and one of the craziest and dangerous spot to surf where that legend Garret Mcnamara rode the ultimate wave...Nazare. Cumps
