One important detail to note is that the official first person perspective is not able to be used to publish maps. They’ve had a lot of these maps before the official tools came. There may have been work around a but the official tools allow you to ads and look more like Cod than the maps you’ve played. It’s not perfect though. I’m super excited to see the official tools being used

I played Fornite with my daughter to get her off of ROBLOX and I was sucked in lol I actually really enjoy the game and it has a lot to offer. its also a nice break from Mil-sims and I get to build core memories with her.

Pretty much same here! Whilst my daughters are very good at Roblox and moderate their own time and experience with it, they have largely moved over to Fortnite sometime ago. Ill play with them and enjoy a more casual gaming experience with them. They are so much better than I am though lol

The official first person mode isnt actually out to play yet. Its only on beta builds of UEFN. So they cant publish maps right now with TRUE first person. Every first person game mode available right now just use tricks to make the 3rd person camera look like 1st person. Once they release the actual feature to to public, first person will be fluid like call of duty where you have separate hipfire and ADS animations and viewmodels. Just wanted to clear this up because all the modes you showed off in the video are using the old tools and faking 1st person with some 3rd person camera tricks. It will be way better on release

​@koolaids6031 not really a glitch. The orbit camera pivot point is allowed to be moved anywhere and the offset of it is also adjustable. This is also within spec of it, nothing unintended. It's just that it's quite literally not the first person device.

You're just looking at a camera shoved into the third person model and animations. That's why it's clipping so often and why you can see the head of your own character.

Well, Fortnite was designed like a framework for all things DayZ had mutated into(survivocraft, PvP and so on) and haven't fallen apart despite of years of abuse and misuse after the change of course. So it's not surprising that it can handle modding well.

so they updated the first person mode thing in creative. As of this comment, it's still in development meaning you cannot publish a map using that. But you can use it in your private island. I will say, the "new" FPS mode is much much more better than what we had prior. Less "bodycam-y", more of old COD first person look. (if that makes sense)

if you have been playing fortnite over the years and noticing all of their updates. they all have been pointing towards a potential new independent game or game mode withing fortnite that will be on par with COD and Battlefield. examples. multiple weapons with seasonal testing and removals. gun customization, sprint and vaulting control (movement in general). hope something even more amazing comes out in the future.

as much as ive hated on fortnite this is really amazing and I could see kids loving this. Roblox as a kid taught me how to script and I loved games like far cry, Roblox, and halo cause you could build your own maps. Ive always wished call of duty would do this cause it would extend the playtime by so much and they could still sell skins and guns or even charge a monthly 5 or 10$ for the map editor or custom maps for multiplayer and zombies and make more than they ever would on dlc.

The difference with Roblox and Fortnite is that Roblox is a game engine where you can play these games while Fortnite is a game that has an exclusive version of Unreal Engine for Fortnite, that's why games like Frontline in Roblox looks insanely good while some others inside Fortnite creative are not really polished

This is indeed not the result. The maps you're playing are using a different camera device placed in front of the players head(but doesn't move with it) to fake an fps camera. The official FPS camera that got released is still in an experimental state meaning that no island can actually be published with it for now. Most guns are missing reload animations and don't have their ADS placements fully ligned up. Also, some weapons like Dual Wield pistols and SMG sttaight up aren't supported. Everything here is quite literally not the official FPS camera.

If those are published they aren't made with the actual official first person tool because those maps aren't allowed to be published yet they're still being worked on. You can play with them when making maps but you cannot publish them yet. In fact the Nuketown one you showcased absolutely isn't using the official first person tool That's using old techniques because you can see the characters head when running.

Save the world is still there - just dead. But quite ironic that we now have to differentiate it as "Save the world" considereding that we originally thought about the original coop mode when hearing fortnite and called the battleroyale mode fortnite br. Also thanks for bringing back the memories, I'm so damn glad that I didn't buy into the "early access before it gets free 2 play" and got it from a friend who bought one of the more expensive founder packs, kind of makes me sad that they still keep the coop behind a paywall and essentially ended developement for it despite all the money they got from people (which also includes the money they got from people that bought the secret supporter pack that unlocked after buying every other pack). The least they could do is finally give access to it to everyone, like originally planned.

Probably long given that Activision is owned by Microsoft for a while now, and given that Microsoft already worked together with Epic in terms of fortnite they'll most likely put a leash on anything modding related that's not a modified version of the originals game client (well, or at least modded into fortnite for that matter).

And if you blame activision for sending a cease & desist towards a piracy group (a claimed received cease and desist that btw never even has been published for that matter) then you don't understand the point of modding to begin with.

@Unknown_Genius I did and don't forget the big scam scandal that happened when mw2 remastered campaign came out amd the mod team that was going to remake the entire MP for that game got shut down the very same day that mod got released when a shit ton of people bought the mw2 remastered campaign that mod required you to have mw2 remastered campaign which would've made Infinity Ward money bought Activision shut them down in what I call a big ass scandal when everyone was buying that game, this cease and desist could be applied to anyone that uses even just the name of their games because if something is bettering cod they get worried and either have 1 of 2 choices happen that being 1 they send a cease and desist even if the people making a better cod style like game that even has just the name or similar to it or 2 they let the cheater problem rise to where people complain about cod so the attention is taken away from that said "CoD Killer" where some bad shit happens to said game and everyone hops back on tryhard zone

Official modding allowance for CoD games is still (and always has been) only as far as they built it in themselves - as already stated, custom clients always had been a silent agreement that are being overlooked for as long as it doesn't promote piracy or doesn't use files of different games in the franchise and only utilize what's already existing. Take Plutonium, they (partly) play by the rules and have been up for a long time. Wheras both: SM2 and H2M did fail to comply with any sort of allowance that could've been given, they also both have partly the same dev team and strangely both never published the cease and desist they got, only claimed to have gotten one - what a coincidence (Also H2M is playable, just fyi as it got leaked but NOW does require MW2R to avoid an actual takedown, not to mention that H1M which actually did abide by the unspoken rules from the start strangely never got into any trouble either). So... maybe get your infos straight before starting something.
