@@Organic_Fiend I like Minshew but he didn't look that great. He had a delay of game, he doesn't step up in the pocket and he was rolling out into trouble. He threw a couple nice passes and the deep pass it was like all he had to get it there. He was making some place but it was mostly against 2nd and 3rd strings guys at that point. AOC lead a 98 yard drive, looked pin point accurate, was getting the team to the line. Drive ended when the tackle got blown past. AOC was climbing the pocket and looking at 2nd and 3rd reads. Lots of Minshew was him leaving the pocket for no reason and chucking it down field. After that he was out cause I think the coaching staff saw what they needed.

I wouldnt even throw him the ball, just use him as a decoy on two or 3 plays. Just maintain stability within the organization for the other 1000 people who work for the Las Vegas Raiders. If Mark Davis has shown anything over the past couple years its that no one man is more important than the Las Vegas Raiders, not even him, the owner. He ate crap, got heckled, had to admit he was wrong, explain his actions, eventually listen to the fans etc. So if MARK had to go through all that ( and he is the OWNER), there needs to be continuity with that from the top down. At least to a degree so that everyone on the Raiders is working together on the same page.

He’a one of my favorite WRs. Played with my boy Carr in college and now plays for my Raiders. I think he would be better off with his boy Aaron. Don’t need the distraction. Unless Raiders start off great and win. Then, I know Adams will be involved and enjoying himself. Best roster in years. But, I say that every year.

I believe theres a very good middle ground between Coach Pierce and Davante. He really doesn't have to *play* - "play" per se, just to see the field. Not run routes, make catches or throw blocks. You put him out there for 3 or 4 plays and run a fake bubble screen, put him in motion and run a whip route on the opposite side of a flood concept etc. Use him as a decoy for a 3-4 plays then take him out. Its important that the coaches word stand,or you just don't have a coach at this point. Its also important that Davante show up with the rest of the team to strengthen bonds,comraderie and even encourage and help others. Another set of eyes never hurt anyone. If Adams has a *bad feeling* about stepping out there though I'd listen, becquse how does a man play the games, take the hits, run the practices for 20 years or more but NOW youre fearful to even step out there for a series? Even with a contract that has absolute TONS of guaranteed money? MAYBE he has a bad feeling? If so listen. If its just aome "political" move on Adams part to protest the very existence of a preseason in general then youve got *problems*.

I have to disagree WIFI. Minshew did not out play Aiden in the Viking preseason game because there is no level comparison when Aiden plays ONE series and Minshew plays the rest of the half. So let's be clear about this. Aiden's one series with the "A" teams versus the Vike's first string defense started in the shadow of the Raiders own endzone, at the Raiders 4. Aiden then proceeded to drive the length of the field, clear to the Viking 3 yard line before an untimely sack stalled the drive and they settled for a field goal. That's a 93 yard drive!! In that drive, a methodical and relentless drive, Aiden completed 7 of 9 passes including one picture perfect deep pass to Meyers for 24 yards. In that drive he ate up over 6 minutes. That is exactly the kind of ball control you want. It keeps our D off the field and fresh for when they do come in. The sack wasn't Aiden's fault and probably wouldn't have happened had Colton Miller been healthy and playing left tackle. I also saw where you, WIFI, accused Aiden of throwing the ball too low. Well that only happened once in that drive and if you rewatched it you'd see he threw it low deliberately to protect his receiver. The receiver catches and is low so the safety barrelling down on him isn't going to take his head off and do a Darryl Stingley on him. Aiden was deliberately avoiding a hospital ball. And THAT WIFI is my knock on Minshew. Like Garrappolo, Minshew likes to sail his passes high and it puts his receivers at risk. So what you thought was a negative with Aiden throwing low was actually a positive. Minshew had more opportunities. He ran team 2 against their team 2 D. He had shorter fields that Aiden. He had 3 series to Aiden's 1. We should also note that the Raiders blocked a field goal attempt at the end of the half, with 2 minutes to play, and returned it to the Viking 40. After a 2 yard run, Minshew threw 2 terrible passes, both incomplete, and we had to settle for a field goal. Despite throwing 3 fairly deep passes, Minshew also threw some wounded ducks. Minshew finished with 6 completions on 12 attempts, a pathetic 50% completion rate. Compare that to Aiden's 7 completions on 9 attempts, a 77.8% completion. That's stellar. For a real comparison they both need a series running the no 1 offense against a no 1 D, AND each run a series with the no 2 offense against a no 2 D. Level the conditions to get an accurate picture. As of right now I'd go with Aiden. Getsy runs a version of Gruden's offense he learned from Packers head coach LeFleur, who comes from Gruden's tree. That means timing plays where QBs throw to a spot where the receiver is supposed to be when the ball arrives, and those throws are made from the pocket, not running around playing sand lot football where you make it up as you go. Aiden fits the bill of a disciplined pocket QB with accuracy and a strong arm. Minshew does not. His running around and "winging it" is why he only completed half of his passes.

Being asked to put in a little more extra effort in order to be a contributing factor and a star player for your team shouldn't be a problem. You are told I almost bet for sure that this is not a career that is guaranteed at all.
