Looking at those images from the viewpoint towards the river and the mountins, I couldn't help but remember the ending lines of the movie American Beauty: "Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... Our Serbia day is at February 15, so we don't barbeque on snow lol but we do on May 1st, when it is working man holiday, we all get out on almost always nice spring weather and fire the bbq and have parties on open. We call that uranak. Have a good time in Serbia!

Spot on visiting Tara and Perućac. Very nice accomodation as well. One thing, ćevapi and mustard are no no in Serbia, it's just considered weird 😊 You picked that up in Romania. Actually when I eat Mici I love them with mustard.

Across the Drina, the Serbian soldiers in WW1 inflicted the first defeat on the Austo-hungarian invaders!!! At that time Serbia had only 3 million people and Austo-hungarians had 52 million people!!! In WW1 Serbia lost a third of its population!!!
