Would have loved if you could have explained how TMDL would help us by making some examples

I will - I was just excited about the new feature! In the meantime if you are interested check out this video where I show you how to use TMDL and C# to edit a power bi model on the service, its a bit more technical but should give you a better idea of the power of the language: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYOmeHxtptVkZ9Esi=dO3QQ6oq1QxxZijA

@@DropMaterializedView Wont't these just get overwritten if someone publishes a new pbix?

Depends on how you deploy your semantic model - I've built semantic models outside of Power Bi before then just maintained the model with SSMS deploying to the XMLA endpoint of the pbi service

I can now edit TMDL inside the powerbi file the TMDL is mirroring or can I edit the TMDL of other semantic models?

As far as I can tell its not real time - You drag and drop the piece you want to edit into the screen and it loads it then you click apply to deploy it, If you make a change in the front end it wont reload the piece again

Do you know what is the difference between Tabular editor save to folder (with tmdl enabled) and power bi save with tmdl on? For some reason if I save pbip with power bi tmdl on I can not open it with tabular editor to edit it I was pretty sure that when I save pbip file with tmdl on it will have the same funcrionality

I have not used this functionality of tabular editor. Is it part of tabular editor 3?
